This ATI Radeon 9800 graphics card has worked faultlessly from September 2003 to August 2010. It decided to start displaying funny lines and multi-coloured spots on my screen the other day, making it look like someone had gone a bit bonkers and had slung various colours of paint around on my Windows XP desktop. Now, I do like pretty colours, but NOT to the extent that I cannot read the screen properly! So, it was time for the card to be replaced with an identical "new" one. Still, after nearly seven years, you expect things to go wrong. I reckon computer years are measured in something like cat years or dog years. This graphics card is probably about 70 years old in ATI Radeon 9800 years, then. Here's one last look at it for "old time's sake."
Today I cloned simoultaneously Ubuntu on a set of new laptops for our office. Nothing fancy, I was waiting for the job to complete, so I thought I could take a streak photo.
