On Tuesday, Nov. 28, Gov. Jay Inslee visited Camelot Elementary School to tour the school's new and efficient HVAC system, and to sit down with teachers and administrators to discuss priorities for the upcoming legislative session.

The new HVAC system was funded in part by the state Department of Commerce. Many more school efficiency updates will be supported across the state by Climate Commitment Act funds.

Camelot Elementary has a "Green Knights" program, where students help the school save energy by switching off lights in empty classrooms and other similar measures. One student suggested ditching computer screens in favor of chalkboards again to save energy.

The governor pinned math teacher Bronwyn Thomas as "Washingtonian of the Day." The governor led her students in a spirited debate of whether zero was a number.
