Rock Springs, Wyoming

When you visit West Wittering you must take a few shots of the beach huts as it is a rite of passage for any photographer! They are looking a bit tatty at the moment after the winter storms.

The same procedure every year. Two applications are required to fly a drone in Thailand. A kind of driving licence or personal licence from the CAAT and a specific drone licence from the NBTC. Both applications require a lot of paperwork, forms have to be filled out and uploaded, photos with serial numbers, entry documents, an insurance confirmation, a residence address. If all goes well, the application to the CAAT has already been approved before the trip and so the application can be submitted to the NBTC with the entry stamp on the day of arrival. Ideally, processing will take less than half a day and you will then be sent a transfer order. The fee is 224 baht including bank charges. In the end, you have two certificates that allow you to fly a drone legally. I wouldn't do it without the certificates, because if the worst comes to the worst, you are covered, especially in the event of an accident.

A wonderful scenery between Ao Nang and Railay, a special the view from above!

Clay Center, Nebraska

My heart is broken. These once substantial buildings on the town square across the street from Clay County Courthouse, have been demolished.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee ...

(Psalm 42:5-6)

This is where The Regent's Canal ends (or starts depending which way you're going) at Limehouse Basin. Tower Hamlets, London.

A commercial fishing boat rests on cinder blocks beside the frozen river, awaiting the thaw and a new season of fishing and waves.

It looks like it's been through some long and tough years of service, and yet it will probably serve its owner faithfully for a long time to come.

Excerpt from www.cambridge.ca/en/learn-about/resources/Dickson-Hill-HC...:

Dickson Hill is one of the most unique communities in the City of Cambridge. Dickson Hill is named for the Honourable William Dickson, a prominent Galt settler who arrived to the area in 1816. Dickson is credited with founding the Village of Galt due to his considerable land holdings and was responsible for much of the commercial development on the west bank of the Grand River.

His son, William Dickson Jr., acquired most of the lands that currently make up the residential area of Dickson Hill. His own residence, located at 16 Byng Avenue was constructed in 1832. The development of the residential component occurred over several decades and by a series of developers. Florence Dickson, niece to William Dickson Jr., and his heir, controlled the development of this area until the 1890’s.

Dickson Hill features an extremely high concentration of significant buildings of various types: residential, institutional, commercial and manufacturing. In addition to the buildings, key elements that define the character of Dickson Hill are:

• Tree-lined streets;

• Distinctive globe street lights; and

• Prominent urban public spaces and landscape features.

Derrière la vitrine qui reflète un coin de ciel bleu, j'ai réussi à glisser mon objectif à travers la grille du rideau baissé, la galerie ne dessert plus qu'une boutique qui fait de la résistance.

The old Commercial Finance Company building along Liberty Street in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

This is the Bentall Centre in Kingston, Surrey. I liked how it looked, like a cathedral.

Another of my favourite lighthouses. I like the round building in front of the lighthouse which is very unusual looking.

A Saturday Minnesota Commercial Railway job enters its home terminal yard adjacent to CP St. Anthony along the BNSF Midway Sub. One of MNNR’s veteran GE's lead the cut with one last raging fire to send the train out of the interlocking limits quickly. August 2019

Minnesota Commercial's last active MLW #80, a former Canadian Pacific Railway RS23 can be found in Fridley, MN. Working the transload facility on 71st Avenue. The old gal still looks and sounds great even at 64 years of age.

The wonderful Commercial Street in Lerwick, Shetland Islands, where I was staying. Lots of history and fascinating buildings (lots of smuggler’s tunnels, apparently).

Salmon fishing in the Pacific Ocean, off the San Francisco, California coast.

An exceptionally calm day, 25 miles west of the Golden Gate.

The commercial trolling boats are dragging multiple lines with baited barbless hooks. The sport boat is about to net a feisty Chinook (King) salmon.
