This weekend is Comic Book Cover Weekend! 😊
I have the (unpaid) job of scanning magazines and comics for auction on ebay for the family business (the-genies-cave). I soon realised that they were quite arty and I thought that they might have a wider interest. Further, I discovered Flickr groups dedicated to comics! I don't know much about comics but I hope you enjoy the colourful nature and design.

For some reason Lee Anne mentioned a scenario where pancakes would burst out of Poofy's belly. So...I drew a comic about it in her sketchbook while on the train back to my house from NYC. We went into strange seizure-like fits of laughter while reading it for the first time together. Because we're easily amused.

This is almost the exact scene I had pictured in my head, except my version would be in color. WITH RAINBOWS.

Third page of the bridge comic and we have some girls making a phone call. Yes, the opening panel features a Subaru SVX. A pretty rare car these days, but I do remember there was some pristine-looking ruby/maroon red Subaru SVX parked on Maritime Drive near The Flower Gallery in Manitowoc. Subaru sold these coupes from 1992 to 1996 although we keep hearing the news about an SVX successor that would be sold above Subaru's current coupe, the BRZ which is a joint venture with Toyota.

Talk about predictable. If you, through a reboot, replace the supernatural in comics with plain old soap opera drama, where the feelings of characters are explored instead of their actions, why not replace the humans with a cool animal, like a goat. Goats are green, goats are hip and cool.
Replace that chest insignia with an S with two horns and a goatee. Do it!
