July 5, 2008 the Mississippi River crested in Saint Louis, Missouri. As some of you may know, there's been a lot of flooding in the Midwest due to massive amounts of rain this spring and summer. As of last Saturday, the water was receeding and people were able to walk on what was underwater just a week before.
The flooding was massive and left a lot of carnage in its wake but it also brought out the best in people. People came together from all over the state to help sandbag to hold off the waters and keep the leeves strong. Even though most of the efforts only work for a small amount of time, it was still nice to see that there is still some good in humanity.

The Ochsenblut in Aachen was a shop handling with 60s/70s stuff. Quite nice stuff actually. And every first saturday in the month they invited a DJ and all their friends to have some little saturday cometogether with music and drinks. Moreover they had changing interiors (like art exhibitions) as you can see on these photos.

2011_08_14 Prague Gay Pride - Gay Pride Festival hits Prague with resounding success thanks to the politicization of President Vaclav Klausand Chancellor Hajek who labelled gays as 'deviants" The gay Pride Festival was supported by 13 Embassies in response to the comments and call for the Prague Town Mayor Svoboda to withdraw support for the parade. As a result, Gay Pride received great support from the public with the call for human rights and tolerance. Several thousands of people participated, proudly waving beautiful flags and creating awareness for human rights Nearly 10 percent of all LGBT suffer sexual harassment or abuse.

Empowerement comes a price to pay in this world. Freedom is often a bargain than a right. Peace is all we seek yet it is something that everyone must reach.
As I photographed peace protesters and singers, I thought this is a start to get their voice heard. What was beautiful was seeing all ethnicities, man, woman, and child, stand together. This world should always be about peace.
