Chiquinho, como é conhecido, desempenha uma função essencial na cadeia produtiva do sisal: alimentar o motor desfibrador com as folhas da planta. Esse processo é responsável por remover a parte verde das folhas, revelando as fibras que seguirão para as etapas de secagem e beneficiamento.
Apesar da importância dessa função, chamada de batedor, ela é uma das mais perigosas na produção de sisal. O contato direto com o motor desfibrador expõe o trabalhador a riscos graves de acidentes, como cortes profundos e até amputações de dedos ou mãos.

Como no podía ser de otra manera, la Asociación Pídeme la Luna ha vuelto a escribir una nueva y maravillosa página en el libro de su historia en el que se han vuelto a fundir la magia, la ilusión y la alegría, ésta vez de la mano de SS. MM. LOS REYES MAGOS DE ORIENTE, que han podido llegar con la ayuda de Andrés Huete de Martos, para hacer muy felices a todos nuestros niños de Onco-Hematología del hospital Infantil de Jaén.
Éste año, el escenario ha sido el Club de Campo de Jaén, que con sus magníficas instalaciones exteriores nos han permitido asegurar las más óptimas condiciones sanitarias para que todo fuera ideal y seguro, a lo que sin duda ha contribuido su maravilloso entorno, embelleciendo tan inolvidables momentos con sus impresionantes vistas, cuyos resultados no han podido ser más preciosos.
Nuestros niños fueron llegando al Club de Campo emocionados y expectantes, y acompañados por sus familias, iban subiendo uno a uno al estrado, y allí estaban los mismísimos Reyes Magos esperándolos y llamando a cada niño por su nombre, mientras las familias, voluntarias y organizadores aplaudían con fuerza y cantaban con energía “ya vienen los Reyes Magos caminito de Jaén”. Allí estaban Melchor Gaspar y Baltasar que habían llegado guiados por la Estrella de Belén, la misma que guió a los Reyes hasta el lugar del nacimiento de Jesús, para entregarle directamente en mano lo que cada uno les había pedido en sus cartas.
La emoción crecía y los nervios también cuando cada uno de nuestros niños desenvolvía su regalo -ayudados siempre por sus voluntarias-, dibujando unos momentos inolvidables con sus más bonitas sonrisas.
Queremos agradecer encarecidamente la respuesta generosa ante nuestra solicitud, del Presidente del Club de Campo Fernando González Vázquez, la amabilidad y tantos detalles de Ángel Muñoz para que todo saliera tan bonito, la incondicional ayuda de nuestra Supervisora de Pediatría Ángela Comas Hermoso y el gran apoyo que hemos recibido en todo momento de Mari Carmen Fuentes (encargada del grupo de madres) que no ha escatimado ningún esfuerzo para que todo saliera perfecto. Gracias también a nuestro fotógrafo José Torres por el bonito reportaje que nos ha realizado.

The Living Room Gallery in Stroudsburg, PA held an Artists’ Reception on Saturday December 1st featuring the work of Martelle, Kayla O'Connor, Abigail Braman, and Kyle Kuczma along with special guest Chris Ruggiero and his One Man Variety Show, Ajax Rasputin's Leviathan Variety Hour, and a Holiday Mistletoe Kissing Booth.
Com o tema “Na escuta e na partilha tecemos nossa mística e esperança gestando relações e cuidado”, as mulheres do Conselho Indigenista Missionário (Cimi), realizam I Encontro Nacional das Mulheres na entidade entre os dias 16 a 19 de outubro de 2024, no Centro de Formação Vicente Cañas, em Luziânia (Goiás).
Mais de 100 mulheres, de todas as idades, vindas de todas as regiões e biomas do país, constroem este momento histórico que tem fio condutor dos diálogos, debates e cuidados, o “Ser mulher no Cimi: acolhida, memória, pertencimento e projeção”. Organizado pelo Coletivo Nacional de Formação da entidade, esta é a primeira vez que as mulheres se reúnem ao longo dos 52 anos do Cimi.
O evento tem como objetivo promover a escuta das missionárias, aspirantes, assessoras, funcionárias dos diferentes Regionais do Cimi, partilhar suas experiências, seus anseios e motivações no fortalecimento da caminhada no Conselho indigenista Missionário (Cimi) e das lutas indígenas.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. Como cada inicio de semana, este lunes 14 de noviembre se realizó la Hora Cívica, en la Unidad Educativa El Oasis, organizado por el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado (GAD) Municipal a través de la Coordinación de Patrimonio Cultural, Cultura y Educación en combinación con los planteles educativos.
Derechos de los Niños, fue el tema presentado durante el espacio cívico por los estudiantes, donde cada uno destacó en su intervención. La alumna del noveno año, Camila Giler Medina, habló de los derechos de la niñez y la adolescencia.
Seguidamente los estudiantes de los diferentes años básicos presentaron cada uno sobre los derechos con destacados mensajes. Además las estudiantes, Danna Paulette Zambrano y Nahsmy Yurena Villavicencio, expresaron sus pensamientos de los derechos de los niños.
La niña, Ashley Nicolle Zambrano, hizo la intervención artística acompañada con el coro de tercer año básico interpretaron la canción Que canten los niños.
El director de la unidad educativa El Oasis, Ignacio Andrade Zambrano, indicó que la institución desde hace 67 años está dedicada a formar niños, jóvenes y forjar el futuro de la patria, gracias a la confianza de los padres de familia. Además expresó su agradecimiento al alcalde, Deyton Alcívar Alcívar por compartir este espacio cívico con los estudiantes, maestros y padres de familia.
El alcalde del cantón Chone, Deyton Alcívar Alcívar, afirmó que los derechos y deberes de los niños están consagradas en la Constitución y en la ONU. Se debe escuchar, aprender y poner en práctica los sabios conocimientos que están enseñando los maestros. Se trata de una institución que llena de mucho orgullo al cantón, la provincia y el país por sus enseñanzas y su aporte a la cultura.
A través del GAD se continúa con los diferentes talleres de arte, cultura y deporte en sus diferentes disciplinas. Se siente muy complacido observar en los medios a niños y jóvenes en los concursos nacionales y que forman parte del trabajo que vienen realizando los monitores municipales, aseguró el alcalde.
