Πρόκειται για το αρχαιότερο καφενείο της Ελλάδος το οποίο λειτουργεί αδιαλείπτως από το 1785!!! Την εποχή που ο επάνω όροφος λειτουργούσε ως χάνι, είχε φιλοξενήσει τον Παπαδιαμάντη ντυμένο καλογερόπαιδο, αλλά και τον Βάρναλη όταν ήταν λυκειάρχης στη γειτονική Αργαλαστή.
At the Cafe-attraction Emmanuel Forlidas.Is the oldest cafe in Greece which operates continuously since 1785 !!! At the time the upper floor served as an inn, she had hosted Papadiamandis dressed as monkchild & Varnalis when he was school director of neighboring Argalasti.

The abstract work, with bright colors and playful patterns, was created in collaboration with the inhabitants of Bruges. Photos of fabrics and objects were collected to allow the artist to make a design which was then printed on an architectural mesh.

We had such a beautiful snowfall overnight that, for some odd reason, it made me think of Schubert's Winterreise Lieder Song Cycle. And then I felt like doing this in a Georgia O'Keeffe style. What a combination for the second day of what we're calling a New Year. I wonder what Schubert and O'Keeffe think of my pairing?!
Here's one of my favourites in the cycle sung by one of my favourite tenors, whom I've now obviously drawn into the collaboration! My mother accompanied my father for many of the Winterreise - what a duo they were musically!

Alex attached "impeach now" sticker to the cover, which I found very inspiring.. since the idea of American cartoon versus abstract Enemy. I stuck the title as per an article in 'Newsweek'..
Neil Swainson, who is not even 70 yet, has a long career in Canada and USA. He moved to Toronto at age 22 and is leading bass jazz musician ever since. Some of his longest collaboration was with Woody Shaw and George Shearing. He is a professor at Humber College, but still plays quite often. At TU Jazz he was supporting singer Ranee Lee with Taurey Butler - piano, Mark Kelso - drums and Ted Quinlan- guitar.

We all have pictures of ourselves in our head how we like to be remembered. Somewhat morbid in a way because we are still alive at this moment (at least if you are reading this). But just sometimes it's alright to remember there comes a time for all of us that we only live on in memories.
This is my image of how I like to be remembered, don't ask me why.
