Another Place Soundtrack is a collection of instrumental and vocal pieces shaped for late hours, dim rooms, and attentive listening. The album drifts through post-punk, coldwave, ambient noir, new wave - influenced minimalism, and dream pop - soaked shoegaze textures, built from deep sub-bass, blurred analog pads, melodic basslines, restrained drum patterns, and fragments of guitar and synth that appear, dissolve, and return altered. These tracks don’t resolve so much as inhabit space, functioning as atmosphere rather than narrative - music designed for the Another Place venue and its unfolding stories. It’s sound for standing inside time as it softens, where the outside world recedes and presence, repetition, and quiet emotional tension become the only currency.

Track# 1 - Midnight Static Bloom

Artist: Adrian Wolfe

Midnight Static Bloom is a slow - burning ambient noir piece built for late hours and deep listening. Ultra-low sub-bass hums like a distant generator beneath smeared analog pads and cavernous reverb, while sparse kicks echo softly in the background. Glassy guitar harmonics and hazy synth swells drift in and out, stretching time and space without ever fully resolving. Part of the Another Place Soundtrack series, this instrumental exists as atmosphere rather than song - music meant to linger, blur, and quietly hold the listener inside sound.

Track# 6 - Momentum

Artist: Cinema One

"Momentum" reflects the feeling of playing live at Another Place, where the connection between the band and the room shapes the performance as much as the music itself. It’s about the moment just before the song begins - the low lights, the hum of amps, and the sense of the night leaning in. As the track builds, it captures how sound, performers, and audience move together, carried by the space rather than driven by it. At Another Place, the music doesn’t rush toward a climax; it holds the room, letting the energy rise and pass naturally. The song becomes a document of that shared motion, where every note lingers slightly longer than expected. It’s a reminder that at its best, a live set isn’t about control, but about surrendering to the momentum of the room.

Lyrics:

Lights stay low, we take the stage

Another Place, the room awake

Amps hum first, before the song

We feel the night lean in along

Hands on strings, the floor below

Moves with us, starts breathing slow

Faces blur into the sound

Everything begins right now

We don’t rush, we don’t steer

We let the room pull us near

Momentum

Carries us

Momentum

Moves through us

Bass hits deep, the lights stay dim

Time goes thin between each hit

Every note stays just too long

We’re inside it, moving on

Momentum

Holds the room

Momentum

Till it’s gone

Track# 7 - Low Light

Artist: Тёмный район (Temnyy Rayon)

“Low Light” lives in a restrained blend of Russian post-punk and coldwave - cold, nocturnal, and quietly melancholic, with a steady pulse that never quite releases. Inside Another Place, the story unfolds as a subtle unraveling between two people sitting across from each other in low light, speaking but not landing, nodding but not understanding, as if their words exist slightly out of sync with the moment. The room begins to feel off in small, almost unnoticeable ways - laughter stretches too long, faces blur at the edges, time loops without announcing itself - and what should feel familiar instead feels distant. There is no argument, no clear fracture, only the slow realization that something essential has already slipped away. The closer they sit, the less they connect, until presence turns into absence without either of them moving. By the end, nothing resolves; the person across from them doesn’t leave so much as fade, and what remains is a quiet, suspended tension - like standing alone under dim light where the night doesn’t end, it simply continues, holding you in that space where something is over but never fully disappears.

Lyrics:

Same room, same low light

Faces blur at the edges of sight

Glasses hum on the wood

Nothing lands like it should

Voices thin, overlap

Words fall out, don’t come back

I nod like I understand

But it slips through my hands

Chorus:

Something’s wrong in the room tonight

Feels too still in the low light

You’re right here, but I can’t feel you

Close enough to disappear through

Something’s off, I can’t name it now

In between every word somehow

We keep talking like it’s alright

But it’s not in the low light

Bassline moves through the floor

Like a pulse I can’t ignore

Every second repeats

Out of time with my feet

Someone laughs, it bends wrong

Like it’s stretched out too long

I try to stay in the sound

But it drags me back down

Chorus (Repeat)

Stay or leave, feels the same

Every face, every name

Like a loop I can’t break

Every step that I take

Stay too long, lose the thread

Everything goes unsaid

You fade into the wall

Like you were never here at all

Outro:

Same room, same low light

Nothing ends, nothing’s right

I’m still here, I don’t move

Like I’ve got nothing to prove

Just a shape in a chair

Breathing stale in the air

And the night doesn’t close

It just goes… and goes… and goes…

We went on an overnight trip down to Atlanta. Attending the Industrial Nation presents Cold Waves 2025 at The Masquerade (Hell ). Bands on the line-up were: Lead Into Gold, Clock DVA and Front Line Assembly. We stayed at Aloft Downtown Atlanta.

Our dog, Rosey accompanied us on our ATL adventure. On the way down to ATL, we stopped at the Buc-ee's Calhoun location in Adairsville, GA. ( we also stopped again on our way back home ) Once we made it into the city, we checked into our hotel room before the show.

Ended up Ubering over to the venue. Didn't have to wait in line ( much at all ). I got a High Noon seltzer and found a spot in front of the mixing board. They were playing Autechre's Tri Repetae ++ over the PA before the show.

The 1st band to take the stage was Lead Into Gold ( Paul Barker ). Then the 2nd band was Clock DVA. After a short time, Paul Barker came out to the mercy booth and was signing vinyl and posing for selfies. I purchased his latest album, "Knife The Ally" on vinyl and he signed it and my vinyl copy of "Age of Reason" ( his 1st album ) as we chatted. Then we got someone in line to take a couple photos. Then I went back to my spot and watched the rest of Clock DVA's set. I got a 2nd High Noon seltzer and found a closer spot closer to the stage. The last band to perform for the evening was Front Line Assembly. They played a set list of their Wax Trax! era albums. ( even played one of the Cyberaktif track, "Nothing Stays" as their Encore ) After the show, I got an Uber back to the hotel room. We stayed up for a bit and watched The Big Bang Theory on Nick-at-Nite. Got up after 9am, gathered our stuff, and checked out. Got on the road taking a more casual drive. Making a couple pit stops along the way.

Prinsengracht 10/02/2012 14h13

Stars dancing on the ice. An almost private performance after the first Prinsengracht Concert on Ice which was just ended when I got here.

A very rare scene, ice skaters on the canals of Amsterdam. But after a cold wave of 10 days with temperatures far below zero it became reality. The last time it was possible to skate on some of the Amsterdam canals was in 1997. Will we have to wait another 15 years to take these photos?

The French electro-punk trio Infecticide brings their signature blend of chaotic synth-wave and Dadaist absurdity to the stage. Known for their satirical approach and highly theatrical, eccentric costumes, the band consistently delivers a relentless, high-energy performance.

Track# 3 - Inside The Sound

Artist: The Echofade

Inside The Sound captures a late-night, personal moment inside Another Place, where low light, bass, and drifting guitars replaced conversation. Rooted in ambient noir and shoegaze textures, the song lingers in shared silence and suspended time, holding onto the quiet intimacy of being present together - inside the room, the music, and the night. It doesn’t resolve or explain the moment, choosing instead to let it breathe and repeat. What remains is a memory shaped by sound, where presence mattered more than words.

Lyrics:

Low lights breathing through the wall

Bass like a heart behind the floor

We don’t speak, we let it hum

Every sound knows where it’s from

Time slips sideways when it’s late

Names dissolve, we hesitate

I was inside the sound

Before I knew your face

Held together by the night

In another place

Guitar ghosts in haloed air

Footsteps echo, no one’s there

Your shadow bends, then drifts away

Leaves a tone that wants to stay

Nothing moves, but nothing’s still

Every silence has a will

I was inside the sound

Let it pull me out of time

If I’m lost, let me stay

In the hum between the lines

No beginning

No resolve

Just the room

And the sound
