BC Racings premium flagship coilovers are the external reservoir ER Series with separate compression and rebound damping adjustment. The ER Series coilovers bring with them the high quality and unique features seen on the BR and RM type but have the additional benefit of external reservoirs and the ability to allow the end user to individually adjust and set compression and rebound damping rates.
The external reservoir ER Series coilovers allow BC Racing to increase the oil capacity of the damper unit. The additional oil capacity reduces peak oil temperatures which decreases variations in damping rates due to oil viscosity changes. The reduction in damping rate variations improves handling and ultimate on road and track performance.

This B8.5 S5 3.0T came to Excelerate Performance for Some suspension upgrades, wheels and tires and an AWE Tuning Track Edition Cat Back.
Eddie's experience setting up his own and customers' competition Miatas has determined that these cars handle particularly well if you stiffen the front suspension and leave the rear fairly soft. This, coincidentally, is the same recommendation for Alfas, though for different reasons.
On Miatas, the premise is that stiffer front spring (and anti-roll) rates help give the car good bite on initial turn-in, while leaving the rear soft makes sure that both wheels are in contact with the road surface.
It seems to work: the car actually sticks BETTER the harder you push the gas in a corner. It's not quite like a wing car, but it's remarkable.
Oh, and do note the empty spaces where the rear anti-roll bar would have been.
Something else to note: there's a tender spring (or keeper spring) below the suspension spring on the coilover. Eddie has found that using the keeper spring lets you keep more suspension travel at the rear (something the Miata needs) while avoiding the problem of having the suspension spring drop out when the suspension is at full droop. It doesn't change the spring rate (which is 300 lb at the rear, 400 in the front), but it does allow the car to be lowered slightly more than without the keeper spring.
