I’d like to present my newest frame
code name : crimson
After the steady decline of resource export, this once rich and bountiful homeworld has slipped into a dog-eat-dog battle for survival. With major corporations pulling out and labour shortages rising, many hard-working citizens have been forced to take to other means of employment.
Meet Freya. For years she was the hard working red-head cheerfully whistling a tune while she worked the port. Tasked with loading and unloading Irontex cargos, she became quite adapt at piloting her TT-04 “loader” frame.
Now, Freya barely remembers what the docks look like. The only thing she knows now is shoot first. Ditching the vertical stabilizers and re-wiring the gyro, she’s taken this old TT-04 and made it her own. Favoring the speed and agility, she’s opted to keep the armour to a minimum. loading up a combi- rifle and improved central optic, Crimson specializes in hit-and run tactics. And as a last defence, a pneumatic pile has been fastened to the forearm.
Those lucky enough to survive an encounter with Freya, will surely talk about “ghosts” or “monsters”
Claiming the grim reaper….. wears red.

Normally, I spend the work-day animating, but I do spend some time digging into code and scripts to build utilities to make it easier to get my animations done. Today I wrote a MEL script to step through keyframes on a selected animation curve in the Graph Editor. The script knows if you have anything selected, which curve the keyframe is on, and it centers the view on the keyframe. That'll only make sense to people who animate in Maya. :)

My #8 intswemodo2013 & 13sweaters2013 challenges
Super fun test for Megan Goodacre's intriguing design; spent a good day pattern editing/proofing last week during spring break in the valley. Realizing a couple of testers have near finishing the body...I thought I have better start mine. Cast on yesterday afternoon on a 4-hour car ride, had the body finished shortly after I got home, then the sleeves this morning before the kids were up and me having to take ‘em to band practices etc--overall it took a little over 8 hours from start-to-finish. Of course, I had already knitted this “virtually” through pattern editing beforehand and have the pattern engraved into my head.
