The AWACS aircraft, built by Russians, is designed to detect, track and determine the origin of air and surface targets, as well as conduct surveillance, command, control and communications functions for command posts of automatic control systems, and give guidance in hitting air and surface targets. The site of this AWACS aircraft was a treat to the eyes. It looked magnificent with wings spread out against beautiful blue sky with white clouds. People who came for Air Force Day celebration weren't allowed near any aircraft. I had to manipulate my way to the aircraft to click this amazing Ultra Wide Shot!

The Jenner mountain is located in the extreme southeast of the German state of Bavaria, near the border with Austria. High up on Mount Jenner above Lake Königssee, you begin to appreciate the magic and adventure of the mountains. It's all part of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Due to its picturesque setting, the mountain top is very popular with tourists and hikers. On the top at 1.874 m you can view over 100 German, Austrian peaks and the Königssee. Gazing into the distance as far as the eye can see: a royal experience. Treat yourself to this unique view of an enchanting alpine landscape. Well sign-posted trails invite hikers to discover nature's beauty on foot, there are walks for every level of difficulty. From the outdoor terrace at the top station you can watch the para-gliders and hang-gliders taking off, as well as feed the cheeky alpine choughs that circle around just a few feet away. At the edge of the hiking trails edelweiss and gentian grow. The protected area of the national park covers 210 km². Its nature is left to its own resource. The National Park demonstrates all levels of vegetation of alpine habitat. Alpine roses, edelweiss and gentian blossom on the ridges, together with the hundreds of other extremely rare flowering plants that have established themselves here. Rare golden eagles and ibex, the kings of the mountains, have also found a home here. Black grouse and wood grouse, snow hares and marmots, deer and chamois are also indigenous to the area.

De Jenner bergtop ligt in het uiterste zuidoosten van de Duitse deelstaat Beieren, nabij de grens met Oostenrijk en deels in het Nationaal Park Berchtesgaden. Het park staat bekend als een geweldig groen en bergachtig gebied. Veel liften leiden naar de mooiste plekken in de bergen, waar u een wandeling kunt maken of heerlijk kunt genieten van een onweerstaanbaar uitzicht. Meer dan een dozijn wandelroutes in de meest uiteenlopende moeilijkheidsgraden beginnen hier. Ze behoren tot de mooiste routes van de Duitse Alpen. Zachte weiden en heuvels, steile rotsen: het Berchtesgadener Land is spectaculair en uniek in zijn diversiteit. Berchtesgaden heeft hogere bergen als de Jenner, maar het uitzicht vanaf zijn bergtop kan met alle andere concurreren. Omgeven door hoge rotswanden ligt de smaragdgroene Königssee als een fjord temidden van de Beierse Alpen. De rotswanden is steeds opnieuw een uitdaging voor veel bergbeklimmers. Maar je kunt ook hangend onder een paraglider van prachtige vergezichten genieten. Paragliding in Berchtesgaden is alleen niet geschikt voor beginners. Rondom de begwand van deze spits zweven paragliders hoger en hoger. Er zijn regels van het National Park rond paragliding om het wild niet te storen. De fascinatie van de bergen is zelden duidelijker als bij het symbool van het Berchtesgadener Land. Steile rotsen, donkere wouden, wilde ravijnen en gletsjers, maar ook bekoorlijke almen en liefelijke dalen. Flora en fauna worden in Duitsland's nationaalpark aan hun lot overgelaten. De bezoeker beleeft een andere bijna vergane wereld, die hier in stand gehouden en wetenschappelijk onderzocht wordt. Zo bewaren ze hier het heden een stuk verleden voor de toekomst. Het is wat mij betreft vrijwel het mooiste gebied van de Alpen en zeker het mooiste van Duitsland.

I have always been fascinated by 6973 Deep Freeze Defender and its modularity. There are some cool rebuilds (like this one from mr. Goddard: www.flickr.com/photos/roguebantha/36898632385/in/faves-50... )
So the ship can transform to two ships or use the cocpits as small ships when the big part is somewhere left stationary.
My goal was to keep the modularity options, although I decided to do some changes (leaving out the middle wings and turning the hangar bay around). All sections have sealable doors so they can operate independently. There are two extra engines on sides which detach and can work with the cocpits or with the hangar bay module.

The Königssee is a lake located in the extreme southeast of the German state of Bavaria, near the border with Austria. It's all part of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Located at a Jurassic rift it was formed by glaciers during the last ice age. It stretches about 7.7 km. The lake similar to a fjord is surrounded by steeply rising flanks of mountains up to 2700 m. The lake is noted for its clear water and is advertised as the cleanest lake in Germany. For this reason, only electric driven passenger ships, rowing and pedal boats have been permitted on the lake since 1909. Due to its picturesque setting, the lake and surrounding parklands are very popular with tourists and hikers. In addition, the lake's position surrounded by sheer rock walls creates an echo, which is known for its clarity. St. Bartholomä, a famous pilgrimage church with a small inn nearby, is located on a peninsula about halfway down the western lakeshore. St. Bartholomä and the southern edge can only be reached by boat or via hiking trails up the surrounding mountains.

De Königssee is 7,7 km lang. Vrijwel heel het meer ligt in het Nationaal Park Berchtesgaden. Het landschap is vandaag de dag nog net zo onberoerd en betoverend als in de tijd van de koningen. Omgeven door hoge rotswanden ligt de smaragdgroene Königssee als een fjord temidden van de Beierse Alpen. De bedevaartskerk St. Bartholomä, het symbool van de Königsee, is enkel per electroboot bereikbaar en ligt schilderachtig op een schiereiland omgeven door de Watzmann Ostwand. 01-1998 LN-FOI was moved to Coventry, UK and parked there
2001 + broken up for spares. Cocpit possbly moved to New Zealand for a museum.
