Than it was sold to the Netherlands and used as governmental aircraft until 1961.
After spending some time in a museum it was completely overhauled and named "Prinses Amalia".

After a gap of 16 years I visited the Flying Legends Airshow at Duxford. Although lots of superb warbirds star attraction for me was this 1958 Douglas DC-6B of Flying Bulls in Austria.Built at the Santa Monica plant in 1958 for state Yugoslavian Airline Jat Then migrated to Africa for some years before coming back to Europe and a superb restoration.
