The Smile on Saturday group’s challenge for 5/29 is “nothing in focus/out of focus” and i despaired bc I’m not sure *how* to do an unfocused shot with an Iphone camera. It turned out that taking my phone out of my pocket did it for me. Not a clue what it took a picture of though... giggling
Macro Mondays theme ~ Games people play
Cluedo (/ˈkluːdoʊ/), or Clue in North America, is a murder mystery game for three to six players. The object of the game is to determine who murdered the game's victim, where the crime took place, and which weapon was used. Each player assumes the role of one of the six suspects, and attempts to deduce the correct answer by strategically moving around a game board representing the rooms of a mansion and collecting clues about the circumstances of the murder from the other players.
I've seen these several times over the years, usually attached to a leaf in the understory. I have no clue, other than it's some insect... maybe a cocoon or pupa of some type? Open to suggestions.

Stolpersteine / [stumbling stones], by artist Gunter Demnig, are now found in many of the countries where the Jewish population was decimated in the Holocaust, including Norway.

Chapter IX: Searching for Clues

New York in 1930? A strange moment in history to travel to. We had been dealing with incidents in the future, and now we were going back to the past. The analysts had deciphered that the changes were related to Carl Anderson, but there were several people in New York with that name. I had no choice but to investigate like the old-fashioned detectives. I would have few modern resources in this era, and it was crucial not to add more changes to the timeline. Before leaving, we had narrowed the list down to four possible candidates, so they sent four of us to watch and take care of each one, evaluating on the ground who could influence history enough to cause a significant fluctuation in the timeline.
My target was in New York for a lecture, though his work was at the California Institute of Technology. Dressed in a typical outfit of the era, I mingled with the crowd heading to the auditorium. The city was a hive of activity; streetcars filled the streets, and skyscrapers, still under construction, gave an air of constant change and progress. Despite the bustle, I kept my attention on Carl Anderson, observing his movements and behaviors, looking for any sign that he could be the cause of the temporal alterations.
The lecture began, and Anderson stood out as a charismatic speaker. He talked about the future of technology and its impact on society, capturing the audience's attention with every word. As I took notes, I tried to discern if anything he said could be related to the changes we had detected. After the lecture, I discreetly followed him to his hotel, keeping a safe distance. That night, I reviewed my notes and sent a preliminary report to the Ministry. I knew that time was crucial and that any discovery needed to be communicated immediately. The investigation had just begun, and the answers I sought were getting closer.

For 122 Pictures in 2022 #50 "In the spotlight", here is Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with the gun.For those unfamiliar, this is the game of Clue, where you solve a murder mystery.
The setup: shine a small flashlight through a magnifying glass in a dark room. The shadow length is adjusted by the height of the glass above the target and the edge sharpness varies by the distance of the light from the glass.
An impromptu visit to Marple Bridge and a walk down to the Mellor Mill archaeological site. The glowering clouds should have been a clue. We spent half an hour huddled under trees as Hell itself sent a mighty rainstorm. Very exciting! We got absolutely flipping soaked.

(Clue Trailer)
It was Mrs.Ruler with the candlestick. The murder took place in the kitchen. When questioned about the death of Mr. Boddy she smiled and cackled. "what can I say he owed me my money".

Usually I prefer to place characters in a scene, rather than make a figbarf, but those famous game characters certainly require a figbarf! ;)
As a big fan of murder mysteries, I certainly couldn't resist buying a game about one! Can't say if I like it or not, because I never played it (this requires like a group of friends, and offline, which is difficult), but those standard Hasbro figurines were boring, so I thought I should build my own versions, using game art as a reference. xD They fit in those squares on a board perfectly, though!
Those are the characters from 2015 edition of Cluedo (or Clue, as you say in America). International localized editions are translated from UK edition (and mine was made in Ireland), so here we call it Cluedo as well and use names and character backstory from UK version. :) So... who murdered Dr. Black (aka Mr. Boddy in US), how and where?
Was it femme fatale Miss Scarlett with a rope?
Was it an alpha male (sic! seriously, that's written in my rulebook) Colonel Mustard with a revolver?
Was it a charming con artist Reverend Green with a dagger (aka Mr. Green with a knife in US)?
Was it socialite Mrs. Peacock with a spanner (wrench in US)?
Was it an intellectual Professor Plum with a candlestick holder?
Was it a genius Dr. Orchid with a lead piping (lead pipe in US)?
Yes, 2015 edition had Mrs. White replaced by Dr. Orchid, so I don't have a reference art for her. I didn't know my game was not a classic edition... Anyway, what do you think? Who dunnit? ;)

Bouquet of Flowers in Small Ceramic Vase: yesterday, some kind and thoughtful person left a beautiful bouquet of flowers, in a small ceramic vase, on our front porch, with no note, no knock on the door, and we are wondering if anyone knows who that kind person was, as we are left unable to express our gratitude. Any clues welcome! Thank you! - And our sincere thanks to whomever left it.
