This is an old footstool, which we had some years ago covered with new fabric.
Das ist ein alter Fußschemel, den wir vor einigen Jahren mit neuem Stoff bezogen ließen.

Here is the third capture taken for the Monday Macro Theme. This one is slightly farther back allowing for more of the fabric foot being in the frame ... but there (2) was at f/32 this one is at f/8 creating that pretty bokeh effect ... this may be my favorite (though there is a version (4) at f/13 that looks neat too, but that one will not get posted).
This coming Monday's Macro theme is cloth ... so I started thinking about some interesting ways to capture some cloths. I settled on getting the macro of the cloth in some sewing action.
This of course meant I would have to engage Mrs. Krach. First off this required me to enter her sewing room which meant I needed to get a 'Permit" to enter the space.
Do not want to mention the Red Tape needed to actually touch the new sewing machine ...
I then searched through some of the fabrics laying about, and this one with the blue cloth and sequins I imagined would make for some nice reflections and bokeh.
Given all the preparatory permits and permissions needed to set this up, I took a bunch of close in compositions at various apertures to play with depth of field. So will posting some variations to see which folks like the most before submitting the final one to the Macro Monday group coming up.
You don't need a really expensive cloth(es) to look cute

Macro Monday's and the theme of "Texture".
I bought a cheap pack of four microfibre cloths for use in the car and I quickly settled on these while looking for a subject for this week's theme.
I decided to use all four of them for a more colourful image and arranged them on our table and used my torch to illuminate the scene.
This is a roll of upholstery fabric which has stood in a corner being ignored for the last year. It is meant to be used to cover one of a pair of armchairs which we bought from an antique shop. We decided to upholster both chairs ourselves which was quite the learning curve! We managed to complete one chair but the exertions of doing that meant we were in no rush to do the other one. It's on a list of things to do but unfortunately keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list.
I was amazed when I saw that my sweater is not of one color. The color and last macro shot of my sweater you can see here www.flickr.com/photos/138807894@N02/30202807333/in/datepo...

Standing tall and firm in the very middle of the Krakow Old Town, the Cloth Hall (or the Sukiennice as it’s known in the local lingo) is one of the most iconic buildings in this UNESCO district.
Head in to flit between folksy craft stalls, and unravel a history that goes back all the way to the 14th century – it’s not called Europe’s oldest shopping centre for nothing!

Eva Petric: Human Cocoon
"As a stylised stem cell, a cocoon hovers in front of red blood cells of three people as a symbol of the diversity of humanity. On 8 April, the cocoon transforms into the installation "Human Butterfly @ ArtScienceSpirituality" - a triad of human butterflies that will then float on the ceiling of St. Stephen's Cathedral until 5 June." volksgruppen.orf.at/slovenci/meldungen/stories/3196062/

The White Cloth Hall is an important historic building in Leeds city centre in England. Between its construction in 1775–6 and partial destruction in 1865, the hall was one of the most important marketplaces in Northern England for the sale of undyed cloth.
WCH is located in a Grade II-listed landmark on Crown Street, just behind the Corn Exchange. It occupies a Grade II listed building with a long and interesting history.
This part of town was once a popular nighttime destination but has declined over the years, with more closures than openings.
