Cloning wine grape vines has proven so successful that the industry has expanded the practice to growers and vintners! Here we see how vintner Mike Lempriere has amplified his workforce with a series of clones. Unfortunately, it looks like some of the clones are concerned that others might be slacking a bit. Oh well. No system is perfect.

I am so mad I wanna kill myself!! Would that be suicide?

My anger and self loathing is because I accidentally deleted Wednesday through Friday's 365 pictures!! Oh man, how my heart dropped when I found that out. I weep a little inside when I think about it. It is definitely not the pictures themselves that kill me, but the thought that one - the year is now broken up and two - I took those pictures even when I didn't want to, makes me a little sad. I debated on what to do, and then just decided to move on...totally bummed.

I AM glad that this picture was not part of my absent minded deleting session. This is my first cloned shot and murder seems to be a tradition with clones. It is crappy editing but it is my first time so I have to love it...LOL

Funny part is that 365i has an evil twin day on Wednesday so there may or may not be another cloning session in the making.

UPDATE: Ooops almost forgot to give props where props are due...Thanks SarahIU for the inspiration! I saw her rendition and knew I had to make one of my own! Guess that makes me..or this picture a copycat!

This is just something I did for fun after my big week long trip.

I am more used to seeing these characters in Lego than paint. At least this one answers the questions as to whether the star wars clones had their reproductive organs deleted.

Who said it must be a female clone?

Anyway this an unknown male clone from US, looks like 80s.

I took this in July 2009 as an experiment after reading a guide about how to do this on DPS forums. Since then I've discovered dozens of photographers and artists who do this far better than I ever could. Namely Miss Aniela. This is one of two I did.

I'll stick to just regular photos I think lol.

For a friend: sized up and re-created in a different fabric. Quite a technical challenge but I made it happen!

Blogged.

My clone I got free in the Jetix magazine.

Here is a photoshop project I have created using 12 different layers to attain the effect of multiply clones.

Star Wars Clone Wars cupcakes! 3 different stormtropper fondant toppers. I've been bad lately about not remembering to take pictures before I box them!

Please note: Special order fondant cupcakes like these are an extra $5 per dozen.

This is a clone of the old Fender Blender fuzz/octave pedal. It's kind of like an Ampeg Scrambler...sort of. You can fade in the clean signal.

Now, a word of warning. If you fade completely to the clean signal, the level is lower than your direct signal bypassing the pedal. This is an issue with the circuit, but of course nobody's going to buy this pedal to fade completely to the clean tone. With some of the effected signal, "Blended" in your effected signal will have a significant volume boost over your direct signal, if that's what you want. It doesn't take much blending to get to unity gain.

At the highest distortion settings, you're going to hear some octave effects on the high notes. This is natural. Well, not, "natural," but it's what this circuit does. It's kind of an insane fuzz. Which is good for people who like that kind of thing, but can be a strange surprise if you were expecting a Fuzz Face.

The Yellow LED is beside the effect on/bypass footswitch. The Red LED is by the, "Boost" footswitch. That should be explained, as well. This circuit gets a boost through bypassing the Tone control. Tone controls that aren't active suffer from something called, "Insertion Loss." Meaning that by existing, they're robbing the circuit of some signal. Which is why some amps with 20 knobs don't sound as good as simpler amps. In any case, this circuit gets a big gain boost that you can kick in my bypassing the Tone control. Depending on the sound of your guitar through this pedal, that can be a cool thing or a less than cool thing. Best to engage the boost, see which of your instruments sounds best through the pedal and then remember that if you want to kick it on and off during a song.

So there's my big explanation of the Blender circuit.

These photos were REALLY out of focus, but it was just a test to see if I had the necessary skills to *do* a clone session. In process of making more & uploading them, so check back!

The girl in the yellow Abba-style fashion faux-pas is so seventies. Is she a Licca clone? I'm sure someone out there knows...?

See, people can be in more than one place at once.
