This was done in the parking lot of my apartment complex. It seemed like the obvious next step in my experimentation process.

Stopped off for a quick tour of Independence Park at Dongnimmun Station (326) on my way home from Namdaemun Market last weekend. The gate looked pretty cool lit up as the night crept its way in. There's an antenna at the top I'm considering cloning out, but I left it in for now. The shot in my stream before this one was taken a few minutes after this, but it has a lot more light in the sky as the sun was still setting on that side.
I've been enjoying the "blue hour" lately in shots. I think it adds a touch of surrealism you can't quite get out of a full-on daytime or nighttime shot -- something about the combination of a blue sky juxtaposed against the city night lights that really does it for me.
This is a must to stop by sometime. It's seriously like 20 steps outside the subway exit. Get there!
From www.korea.net:
The Independence Gate was among the first pieces of modern western-style architecture to be constructed in Korea. Modeled on the Arc de Triomphe of Paris, it was built out of reinforced concrete and white granite. On one side was written Dongnimmun in Hangeul characters, and on the other side the same word in Chinese characters.
While the gate survived Japanese colonialism (the Mohwagwan/Independence Hall, however, was destroyed completely) and only suffered minor damage during the Korean War, the forces of progress proved too strong to withstand. Dongnimmun was dismantled in 1979 to make way for an elevated highway, and was rebuilt using as much of the original materials as possible about 70 meters to the northwest.
Thanks for checking it out!

The tenth century sandstone cross standing on the Diamond in Clones County Monaghan is a combination of two separate crosses consisting of the head of one cross and the shaft of an other. The two cross fragments stand to a height of 4.57 metres and are amongst the remains of a monastery founded in Clones by St Tighernach in the sixth century. The South east face of the shaft pictured, bears iconography depicting Daniel in the Lions Den at the top of the shaft with immediately below it the Sacrifice of Isaac and below that Adam and Eve (the fall of man).
What i tried to accomplish in this image was to turn someone into 2 different sides. For instance one side of her was glitzy and glam and girly as opposed to the other side who was dark and evil. I chose to take hawk claws and make them her fingernails, and change her eye color to show that her inner most feelings shine through them. What i find to be exceptional is the two different sides i made using a photo that was originally supposed to look fierce and attractive. What i learned is that cloning images can change a photo entirely and make it easy to take away a subject or add one. If i could change one thing it would be to add more to the photo and make it more dramatic because it is more simple than complex
I just didn't think George Lucas depicted the whole clone war thing correctly. But seriously this was the result of our little Super Smash Brothers Dispute. My thrid clone had to come in to keep the peace.
