A bit of a challenge, and a departure for me. A combination of mixed lighting, incandescents, skylights, and some bounced flash off of gray walls made for some "interesting" white balance fun, I had to crank the ISO up to 2500 and pictures shot that high on this old 2004 designed Canon body tend to fall apart. I used the new de-noise feature in ACR, it did a commendable job, but it took around 35 minutes per picture to accomplish. Then there was the issue with moving subjects, definitely not my forte!

A highlight of fall in Waterdown Village is the annual Scarecrow Walk, starting in this eighth year on October 11 and running right until Hallowe’en.
“Once again, our local businesses and community partners will display uniquely decorated scarecrows, animating our streetscape and giving people of all ages more than 130 reasons to Walk Waterdown,” exclaimed Waterdown Village BIA Board of Management Chair, Amanda Groves.
She added, “The Scarecrow Walk has fast become a signature event for the community. Clues featuring mugshots of favourite monsters will be placed on 20 randomly selected scarecrows for scavengers to find for a chance to win shopping spree prizes. You can discover new businesses, take selfies with your favourite scarecrow entries, and test your detective skills to find all 130+ scarecrows and all 20 clues, for a wonderful day out for the whole family.”

Entry of the world famous Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. My son works here in the SPARC innovation lab, which prompted our visit to the beautiful state of Minnesota.
The Mayo Clinic is a wonderful place. The medical facilities are state of the art but it is the quality patient care and compassion that makes this place stand out. Mayo has always been a place of innovation and is one of the few medical facilities that have taken a page out of the Japanese business play book. Businesses have learned that innovation is key to survival. Mayo applies this same forward thinking to healthcare. Very refreshing!
Mayo Clinic is the first and largest integrated, not-for-profit medical group practice in the world. Doctors from every medical specialty work together to care for patients with the philosophy, 'the needs of the patient come first.'
There are 3,000 physicians and scientists and 46,600 allied staff workers at Mayo Clinic in it's three locations, Rochester, Minnesota, Jacksonville, Florida, and Scottsdale, Arizona. The Mayo Clinic (in its three locations) treats more the 500,000 patients a year.

Diese kleine Villa in Südthüringen wurde bis in die 90er Jahre von einem
Kinderarzt und Allgemeinmediziner bewohnt, dessen Praxen sich ebenfalls im Gebäude befanden.
Seit der Aufgabe der Praxis steht die Villa leer und verfällt.
Die Stadt erwarb das Gebäude für einen Euro.
Seitdem ist dort nichts mehr passiert.
Lediglich ein paar Details lassen noch erahnen das hier einmal eine Arztpraxis
untergebracht war.
