This is a clear morning in Jasper national park, and I almost give up shooting sunrise, because of the cloudless sky, however, a moment of sunshine suddenly breaks through the remote mountains and lightens up the foreground ice, I especially love the textures and rocks.
Over to you please!! which do you prefer? the colour or the mono version (and why)
This red deer stag was making himself heard ... stay away from my girls!
Our first clear night after a few days of heavy rain and the local river is flowing over its banks. The LE imparts a stillness to the water, but it was charging out, B&W f pro 10 stop ND.

Or is it? If a picture is worth a thousand words what comes to mind when one sees this composite photo made from a sequence of shots of a Red-tailed Hawk that I took? The first shot of the sequence is on the left and the last is on the right. A systemic approach in finding prey inside a nest box? The real answer is quite surprising - but I'll leave it to viewer's imagination. After the hawk left I gently tapped the lid back into position.
Almost entirely hollowed out. Apparently the target was the seeds more than the wall flesh. Every portion of the pumpkin - including seeds, seed hulls, and stringy membranes - is completely edible to both squirrels and humans.
This knobby pumpkin is just for decoration, but it is just as edible as any other.

This is the next morning after yesterday's snow photo. In Colorado, the next day after a snow is usually clear and sunny, because our weather systems rarely linger.
This is my clear acrylic box w/clear round handle that holds my cotton balls. It lives in the bathroom cabinet, but came out for a visit to the dining room table photo studio. lol.. It’s refracting/reflecting the Minion behind it a few times. HSoS
I went down to the lighthouse and was hoping for a glorious sunset with some epic clouds. Well that didn't happen as you can see and I had to improvise. I decided to wait for the sun to hit the mountains on Vancouver Island to make a Sunstar / Starburst. It's one way to help decorate a plain cloudless sky!! Kris
Crystal clear water and bizarre rock formations covered in moss and beautiful colours can be found at the Traun Falls near Roitham (Upper Austria). This place, unknown to many, is trully a fascinating place like from another world

In dawn light, the Panamint Mountains rise from Death Valley to snow-covered Telescope Piak.
At the current time many road (and the locations they access) in Death Valley National Park are closed as a result of earlier flooding and washouts. Before I went there this past week I was aware of some closures, but when I arrived I discovered that some of my planned destinations were unavailable. I changed plans, improvised, and still found plenty to see and do in the park, and my list of planned locations remains for my next visit.
If plans had not changed, I would not likely have come back with this photograph. I often make relatively last-minute decisions about where to photograph based on light and sky conditions, and when I noticed that the air was clearer than usual — important given the vast distances in this park — I headed to a location with a view of the first morning light on the Panamint Mountains and their snow-capped summit of Telescope Peak. To give some idea of the distances, the highest peak is perhaps roughly twenty-five miles from my camera position.

As I've said before a trip round Oban bay wouldn't be the same without these guys.
This one was busy pottering along the shoreline as usual. Although the light was behind the bird, I liked the reflection it made. The clarity and transparency of the water in it's shadow makes this shot for me.

The skies were clear yesterday, but not a single parking spot was available at any of the beach access points. As a result we stumbled on a new hike that was surprisingly uncrowded.
