It always makes my day when I see Mr Clark sitting near his urban garden. All those flowers behind him are his. He always has something nice to say and when I asked if I could take his photo he quickly said yes.

This is from one of our very fun trips to Klamath Falls, Oregon. I don't think I have enjoyed photographing anything as much as I enjoyed photographing these grebes. Klamath Falls, 0regon - 2017.

This is the 3 to 4 inches received overnight with wind gusts over 40 mph. The heavier snowfall was north and east of us into Minnesota.
Their appearance is "ghost like" leaning every direction, with the snow coating. Even some suborn leaves that just refuse to fall into the wind . . .

Too white, too wet, too soon . . .
A late afternoon snowfall Wednesday in the north Iowa and southern Minnesota area. We got about an inch plus . . . other areas got up to 5 or 6 inches.
I'm pouting only because it's really too early! With golf, autumn hiking, yard work and outdoor activities still on the "to do" list. It is pretty with the remaining autumn leaves, but . . .

I got great views of this species in the Santa Fe area of New Mexico. It's always nice to see nutcrackers well, as they can be a somewhat difficult to get close to unless they are acclimated to humans. In this case, they were coming to a feeder and some peanuts we put out for them.
A Western Grebe (on the left) and a Clark's Grebe were in a territorial fight. They fought up and down the water for quite a while. In the end, none appeared to be a winner, they paddled away in different directions.
These two species can be either friends or foes. Many times they are paired and raise a family together.

Continuing my set of waterfowl images with this Clark's Grebe. This grebe species looks very similar to its close cousin, Western Grebe. Tomorrow I'll post a Western Grebe for comparison and a tip on the easy way to tell the two species apart.
In past trips to Klamath Falls I saw a lot of grebe feeding and courting activity. That wasn't the case this spring, thus I have many images of grebes swimming by. Local birders suggested the water in the lake was too high this year. It certainly was flowing fast, and was choppy. I bounced around quite a bit out there. There are only 3 nutcrackers in the World. The only one in the New Word is the Clark's. Seen here at Rocky Mtn and Mt. Hood.

I was fortunate to get the opportunity to observe and photograph this bird for several minutes. It was rather tolerant of my presence and was solitary. Western Grebes in the area were paired up. In my area Clark's are significantly less common than Western Grebes and I consider it a good day when I encounter one. Market Lake WMA, Roberts, Idaho

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️
