Cheroot cigar in Myanmar

This gorgeous Snowy Owl was indeed a wonderful catch on my trip up north. Actually not spotted in the bog rather near Duluth MN, near a small regional airport. It was first spotted on a snow mound and flew away. We followed over to a building rooftop to take further shots.
It is about 20" tall and either a Female or young male with that dark spotted head. The older males more white shows in plumage.

Mexican cigar is a tropical, densely branched evergreen subshrub. The flowers, which are attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies, resemble lit cigars, hence the name ignea, which is Latin for "fiery". The genus name Cuphea comes from the Greek word kyphos which means curved or humped; this is thought to refer to the shape of the seeds.

I don't do videos very often, but now that I have the D750 it's just so easy to do them. Anyway, while I was at the Pecan Street Festival in Austin, I stumbled into this little coffee shop on 6th Street called the Bobalu Cigar Company. And, sure enough, they sell coffee and make cigars. So, I videoed the guy doing it. Actually, I think he's Cuban..;) Don't judge to hard, it's my first one with Photoshop

Wandering around in the night as I typically do I chanced past this cigar shop all lit up and looking inviting so in I went.
Manager Mark Cesani after accepting a compliment on the hominess of his shop consented to have his photo taken. He said Cuban cigars art still illegal but he had just about everything else a cigar lover could ask for.
If you go his shop is located in Mallory Square where the sun sets!

Went to London today and forgot to put the battery in my camera! So I felt I had to post something to show for a day wasted.
