This is the rear side of a Seagull ST1901 chronograph watch movement.
As this is a handwound movement, there is no automatic winding mechanism hiding the inner workings.
Here it is with one of the watches it is built into.

Borrowed a team of LEGO figures from my son to help me with the presentation of the watch. A reactivated archive shot...
This is not the "Bund"-HEUER! An actually very neat hommage watch resembling the famous German "Bund Heuer" Chronograph, done in small scale manufacture in Hong Kong.

Chinese chronograph, handwound ST1901 movement.
The Chinese text on the dial means:
中国 China
天津手表厂 Tianjin Watch Factory
While the dial and hands are quite unique, the case is sort of a mixture of Omega Speedmaster (main case) and Rolex Daytona (tachymeter bezel).
In total a handsome piece...

Now this Seagull is on the 20mm vintage style steel mesh band that I had on the Fortis "Flieger 24H" before.

In a world where the Speedmaster Professional is the predictable choice in the luxury chronograph line up, I set out on a quest to find something different. I consider this to be the classy Speedmaster automatic, minus the name at a similar price point. I narrowed my choices down to this and the Speedmaster 1957. I'm pretty pleased with this piece, loving the clean look.

WIT: Brown is the colour - I have this watch which is mostly brown and I thought the background would be a nice complement. In post, brought out the colours more and cropped.

Seiko chronograph dial with LumiBrite, an improved fluorescent luminous paint that absorbs a greater amount of the light energy exposed to it and glows brighter and much longer in the dark.
A classic Junghans J88 from the 50s (built between 1949 and 1952). This one was used a lot, has lots of wear ... and character :-)
This pocket watch is by H. Samuel of Manchester and is hallmark for Chester witch dates it to 1884. The silver case was made by Alfred Gurney of Smithfield Street Coventry.
W.D. & H.O. Wills was a British tobacco importer and manufacturer formed in Bristol, England. It was the first UK company to mass-produce cigarettes. It was one of the founding companies of Imperial Tobacco along with John Player & Sons. The tin you see in the photograph would have held fifty cigarettes.
The coin has a bearded bust of President Johannes Paulus Kruger on one side and on the other the coat of arms of the South African Republic circled by legend, date and denomination. These coins contain 0.336 troy ounces of silver, so they can never be worth less than their silver value.

For Macro Mondays: The Song "Time" by Pink Floyd (from Dark Side of the Moon) has always been one of my favorites. Its first line (the title of this photo) seems an appropriate lament for some of the long days of late, staying inside without a whole lot to do, just waiting for time to pass and for problems to be solved by people smarter and more important than me.
(Another line from the song, "hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way," is also highly appropriate (although I am not English), and served as inspiration to me earlier in 2020 as I took some moody abstract photos in my apartment whilst the album was playing.)

I got this dive chronograph/watch in the '80s and wore it regularly then. It proved to be quite rugged and cosmetically durable. When viewing it now from a typical in-use distance, it looks nearly pristine. Only looking closely can you see the beautiful patina of use and wear, the punctuation marks in the journal of real-life tales. This tiny scrape across the 15 on the rotating bezel is the worst of the lovely "imperfections."
