This is actually an old shot, taken when I was setting up for this A.W.A. shot with Ravenwolf. I just found it in my folder tonight, so here it is. :-)
Thank you for the visits folks. I really appreciate them as well as the favs and comments. I look forward to the inspiration many of your flickr streams continue to bless me with. The drive byes, the urban shooting, the gorgeous landscapes, the variety.
Blessings, javier

For a long time ago there have been rumors about small alien community in Split. Apart from unresolved disappearances of several trekkie aficionados, the matter never caught attention of serious ufologists. However, data stream from one of our survey posts clearly indicates that aliens are among us, and are of species 8472, i.e. fluidic space dwellers. 8472 are metamorphs, but they seem to naturally drop their camouflage in vicinity of rogue Asian tourists. Something tells us that Cholo instantly forgot about his toothache when witnessing alien presence, though another question emerged – how exactly is etva connected with fluidic space? Need some cross-referencing? Check the excerpts from etva's ocular implant: www.flickr.com/photos/61357175@N08/
A part of the Lawndale/Hawthorne area was known as Little Watts. The reason for this remains obscure.
Its Good Friday here, and its tradition to stop all work. The workaholic in me says do something... so I updated my Venitu Caleb's face up, did some wig work and and instant photoshoot. Productive day.
Just took a snap shot after the work day and the lights on the work shop off. Obviously my love affair with Jusi, Tulle and hand pleating hasn't ended yet. :P
Poor Cholo... During his "solođirin" he felt severe toothache providing us with opportunity to observe another curious phenomenon about Asian tourists. It seems that once they feel toothache, they look for a central stage to solemnly endure what has to be endured. Their painful posture is beautifully dignified, ergo far cry from etva's epic "splitting from Split"...

This is the commission piece I started the year with and my oh my, im up for a challenge. The person who owns this actually gave me much freedom but with one reminder, to give it a dramatic long train (so what you see is phase 1 and it will get more dramatic and longer and crossing my fingers that it could fit in my standard shipper box LOLs) After much experimenting with colors (remember Olga in Apricot?) that's the color scheme im doing with this work. Royal to electric blue beads should embellish the empire cut gown, with some gold detailing on the shoulders and the train...

Ekla Cholo Re is a famous Bengali song written by Rabindranath Tagore.
It exhorts the listener to continue his or her journey, despite abandonment or lack of support from others. The song is often quoted in the context of political or social change movements; Mahatma Gandhi cited it as one his favorite songs.

My entry for CDDC 4, Challenge 1.
The challenge was to incorporate sports and couture and since the Superbowl and Madonna's smashing half time show were current, i felt the need to channel it through this challenge.
