A view from the observation area on Mount Saint-Pierre of the Chic-Choc Mountains and the Glacial Valley, which are part of the Notre Dame Mountains and a larger subrange of the Appalachian Mountains. It is situated along the Saint Lawrence River on the Gaspé Peninsula in Quebec, Canada
The Monts Chic-Chocs, also known as the Chic-Choc Mountains, are a subrange of mountains located in the Gaspé Peninsula of eastern Quebec. The mountains are very old — hundreds of millions of years old — and heavily eroded. They often have flattened, treeless tops and steep sides, and are well-forested. All ten of the highest peaks in this range are taller than 1,000 m, of which the highest is Mont Jacques-Cartier, named for the explorer who may have been the first European to see the mountains (see Jacques Cartier). The Chic-Chocs are well known for their hiking trails and backcountry skiing. Part of the range lies within the boundaries of a Quebec provincial park and a wildlife preserve. The Chic-Chocs are a unique geographical feature, forming the backbone of the Gaspé Peninsula, and containing within them a complex environment mixing features of eastern woodlands with arctic/subarctic and alpine/subalpine climates. These conditions create a unique landscape as well as the natural environment. The Chic-Chocs are the tallest mountains in southern Quebec.

La 354-007-7 Virgen de Begoña efectuaba la salida de la nave de mantenimiento en las desaparecidas instalaciones de Aravaca todavía con los colores de origen. A la derecha aparece la 353-001-1 Virgen de Lourdes y en la vía contigua se encontraba estacionada la 2004T Virgen del Camino ya apartada del servicio sí bien posteriormente volvería al servicio.
354-007-7, 352-004-6 ,353-001-1. Base Talgo de Aravaca 15-10-1994. Diapositiva Escaneada.
La malograda 354-007-7 quedó destruida a raíz del fatídico accidente de Chinchilla mientras remolcaba un Talgo Pendular con destino Cartagena el 3 de Junio de 2003 al chocar frontalmente contra la 333-304 qué remolcaba un tren de mercancías y qué tambien resultó destruida en el mismo.
La 352-004 recibió nueva decoración amarillo y gris y también tuvo un accidente qué la apartó del servicio siendo años más tarde desguazada y la 353-001-1 sufrió un incendio qué la apartó del servicio y años más tarde fue desguazada. Y las instalaciones de Aravaca dejaron paso en el año 2001 a varios bloques de viviendas quedando únicamente el recuerdo con el nombre de una Avenida qué hace alusión a Talgo. Una imagen cómo tantas otras irrepetible.

....on a frosty morning in the park. One of the good things that has come out of this peculiar year has been the arrival of the Butterfly Box in our local park. Wonderful coffee, hot choc, cakes and light lunches. The park has been full much of the time while we have been unable to meet indoors, it’s a tiny oasis in our neighbourhood and now quite sociable too.
