My local Sanrio store's 50th Anniversary display. I love all the items, but I only bought the tote bag. Hello Kitty is so cute when she's dressed up as the other characters!

Xmas Tree

I've been wearing and collecting vintage clothing since grade school. Yes, you read that right. So, when Mad Men came out, and suddenly people were jumping on the bandwagon of wearing vintage, I really wanted to dislike the show. However, this last black friday, Best Buy had Mad Men seasons on DVD for next to nothing. We picked up the first season and figured we didn't have much to lose. Well, it's a fantastic show. However, I still bristle when people refer to some of my ensembles as so "Mad Men."

Also, this dress once had a matching belt. Unfortunately, those rarely survive. Also unfortunate? The belt loop that is on the front doesn't accomodate any belt I've found, so I have to keep adjusting the belt into place, since it wants to loosen and drop to my hips.

Got to wander around Downtown LA. We had lunch at Plan Check and walked down to Little Tokyo. It was a lot of fun! Lots to see and do!

Through the window you can see part of the colorbond fence that encloses a special garden for Balki. My Mum and Dad built this garden enclosure when Balki was diagnosed with diabetes last September.
