The Choco tyrannulet (Zimmerius albigularis) is a tyrant flycatcher. It is found in forests in the Chocó of south-western Colombia and western Ecuador. It was previously treated as a conspecific with the golden-faced tyrannulet (Zimmerius chrysops) but the species were split based on the molecular and vocal differences.

Choco loves to hang out with me when I take dolly pictures, but yesterday he did what I was afraid he would do one day! My favorite Barbie Vintage Lace up boots ..... ruined!! To top it off they were minty. :(
I accidentlly dropped it and he probably thought it was a new chew toy.
Now my hunt for a single pink boot is about to start!

- In the winter it has always been a good Dutch tradition to skate and afterwards drink a hot choco cream or eat a bowl of pea-soup with smoked sausage.
This year we are breaking December heat records, so no chance to skate, but I keep the food traditions alive.
Why ? Simply because I can and... I like it !

- In de winter is het altijd een goede Nederlandse traditie geweest om na het schaatsen een heerlijke kop warme chocolademelk (met slagroom) te drinken of een grote kom erwtensoep te eten.
Aan schaatsen hoeven we bij de huidige warmterecords in december niet te denken, maar ik houd de warme chocolademelk met slagroom in ere.
Waarom ? Omdat het kan en zo lekker is !
