Front cover of the Chiswick 2014 charity calendar, printed on high quality photographic paper, produced by Jon Perry and I.
Our aim, as with our first Chiswick calendar in 2013, is to celebrate a place we all love while raising funds for a local good cause. We finance the calendar and donate our best Chiswick photos with all profits going to the Organ and Parish Rooms Appeal at St Michael and All Angels Church in Bedford Park, Chiswick.
The cover features a photo of a welcome addition to Chiswick - the Turnham Green wild flower meadow, with Christ Church just over the floral horizon.
The 12 photos inside are: (January) A snowy Gunnersbury Triangle; (February) ‘Little Lamb’ and Sam’s; (March) All Angels Dawn; (April) Bedford Park blossom; (May) Turnham Green Station Lights; (June) A Chiswick House Dream Window once occupied by The Beatles; (July) Swan Lake by The Bell & Crown; (August) Now Showing at The Old Cinema; (September) The first 27 bus returns home to Chiswick Business Park, once the site of London Transport’s huge Bus Works; (October) Misty Chiswick House Morning; (November) Strand-on-the-Green freezing fog; (December) W4 White...in the snow.
The 2014 calendar is available in two sizes: The A4 edition (£12), which proved so popular last year, and a new large size (£20). We are thrilled at how well both have turned out - with thanks to John Fitzgerald and his team at Snappy Snaps in Chiswick for their expertise and support. The calendar goes on sale from Tuesday October 22 2013 at the below outlets:
Fosters’ Bookshop, 183 Chiswick High Road; Top Hat Cleaners, 20 Devonshire Road; Zecca (Contemporary Homewares), 88 Turnham Green Terrace; Sam’s Brasserie & Bar, 11 Barley Mow Passage; Laveli Bakery, 61 South Parade, near the Murco garage, and Chiswick Computers, 349 King Street, Hammersmith.
Also available at The Cards for Good Causes Shop inside St Michael & All Angels Church - opposite The Tabard pub - from November 6 until December 14 and The Cards For Good Causes Shop at Christ Church, Turnham Green from November 15 to Dec 18.

'I really enjoyed building my computer and the engineers were very friendly.’ – César Ortiz
In 1976 Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak hand-built the Apple-1 in the Jobs family garage, and computing history was made. While King Street may not exactly be California and the result might not be as revolutionary, if you know a young tech wizard then Steve Bonnici and Brenan Santos from Chiswick Computers offer personal tuition in building computers. The student can take their machine home and, of course, you never know where those skills might lead.
