a child plays alone on a football field in palma nova.
no floodlights, no team, no sound.
just a ball and the dark.
the game goes on.
With so much white around on this winter's day in Hokkaido, Japan, I decided to go for a minimalist image of this little girl happily playing in the snow.

Playtime at the beach on the Island of Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
I wish I knew the story behind the boat name. Sadly, I do not. Maybe the girl's mom is calling her home, and she is running the other way!
Rai, my 8 month's old in blue jeans and Tupur 9 month's old in playful mood. It was a nice time capturing these little beauties in their very natural moments. I never felt tired!
Well it was 22 yesterday so that ment shorts, and hitting the park. I was covered in sand after getting this shoot!! LOL
She dances and frolics under the sun and runs away with a bag of cookies in her hand.

At Polesdon Lacey they had placed a few bundles of hay for the young children to play with. This little boy was having huge fun picking up a bundle and then throwing it into the air. I tried to capture the hay mid air but failed miserably, I still like this shot but it could have been so much better ....

My first child being silly right in front of daddy's camera. She's fun to work, though at times quite unpredictable. But obviously when she is having fun you'll be rewarded with a keeper like this.
The true blessing of my holiday season is just being able to gaze on a scene like this under my tree one more time in my life.
Nothing sweeter than a kid in footie p.j.'s, playing happily under the tree!
It's been a busy week visiting with friends and family.
Last night the kids went to a concert in N.Y.C. to see Phish.
(The tickets and all night babysitting were compliments of Mimi!)
Chloe and I had a fun time playing with all the toys that Santa dropped off for her here and going out for dinner with Pop.
We had a good night sleep and woke up to a white landscape!
Chloe's parents picked her up a little while ago and I'm trying to quickly pick up around here before the next wave of friends drop by.
I haven't even had time to turn the computer on!
Just surfacing real quick to let you know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth!
I hope to be able to catch up with everyone real soon.
Have a great day peeps, and if your out driving around in all this nasty weather, please be careful!!

It's finally arrived! I'm off on holiday with my family!
My youngest was so excited with his new "Mr Bump" case he was dragging it around the garden. This then gave me an idea... So I grabbed the camera.
Slightly rushed processing on this one, and I'd love to do this idea again but better..
Thanks everyone for all your support, I won't be posting anything for a couple of weeks now, but will try and find time to comment providing I have internet.
I watch the kids at play
Behind that wooden bench;
With cam'ra on my hand,
The child in me, I quench.
I used to be that girl
Who climbed the stairs and slid;
But now, it's Pia's turn -
Enjoy the things I did.

Time Portal laboratory is another creation in Second Life by Frau Jo Yardley, the creative force behind the 1920s Berlin sims. It's a fun place to use to take trips to Ancient Rome; Tudor, Victorian or 1940s England; or 1920s-40s or 1950s/60s USA. maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Time%20Portal/126/124/1930
