Around 1970...spotted in Grand Forks and I had to hope the light didn't change too quickly...

Parked for a short time on the ‘other side’ of the street.

The second generation of the Chevrolet Chevelle was built from 1967 until 1972. This two-door coupe version has a 5.3 litre V8 engine.

This one is in the desirable 2-door hardtop body style.

It isn’t marked as an ‘SS’ model. It does have a 327 V8 emblem on its fender, though.

The wheels appear to be the popular Cragar S/S model.

A Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu at the Street Mag Show in Hamburg.

It’s a beautiful car but a raised hood is usually the photographer’s bane! In a profile view such as this, it’s not as bad. Often, when I see an interesting vehicle arrive I’ll try to get a quick shot or two in before the driver has a chance to raise the hood.

What’s under the hood is often not exceptional. But if there’s a Rolls Royce Merlin engine shoehorned in there, then I’d want to see that!
