Just a few shots i managed to grab during my permitted exercise which (following the current rules) was done alone and within my local area. During this evening the images where taken between areas of the walls between Bridgegate and Watergate in Chester UK.

Gave up trying to capture the moon with some foreground interest so another River Dee sunrise. I've seen some great shots from New Brighton and up the Wirral but pesky Covid rules...
A very cold morning with a slight frost and mist on the Meadows which unfortunately didn't roll onto the river, but I'm not complaining when I got to witness this. We've had clear skies for a while now but the river was still high from the rain Wales had last week.
These images where taken in Chester UK during a walk from the Watergate to the central junction "The Cross" area. All this was done during my permitted exercise which (following the current rules) was done alone and within my local area.

Looking out over Boughton towards the Cheshire Plain with the small interruptions of Beeston Hill, Stanner Nab, Higher Burwardsley and Rawhead in the distance.
There are a plethora of must-have locations along the former Rutland Railway between Bellows Falls and Rutland. Among them is the brick depot in Chester, where Vermont Railway GP38-2 201 passes in the early afternoon sunshine with freight 263. The red duo has conquered the grades through the Green Mountains and will follow the Williams River to the Connecticut River at appropriately-named Riverside.
The last one in this series. This is an old lock which has become a waterfall surrounded by foliage, making a natural looking scene. The warehouse workshop is a resource where youngsters can learn various traditional skills.
A canal walk is always easy going, due to the flat and level towpaths...and on a Summers day, it is a delight.

The Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary
Chester Cathedral is the mother church of the diocese of Chester and is located in the city of Chester.
Originally a Benedictine abbey built around the 11th century the building was given Cathedral status in 1541 by Henry VIII following the dissolution of the monasteries.
……Built sometime between 1200 & 1350 - note the elevated malls to walk along & keep dry & entice you into the shops! Is this the earliest Shopping centre precinct I’m wondering?! Alan:-)……

This is a city to visit ,,,Chester ,, occupied by the Romans and the defence wall is still intact around the entire city and you can walk the top of it once guarded by the romans , also a small amphitheatre , also a large mix of buildings from the Tudor to the present day .

Walking around Chester today, the start of Spring was two weeks ago, someone forgot to tell the wind. It is officially called a lazy wind as it doesn’t go around you it goes through you.
The early cherry blossom was happy to make an appearance in Grosvenor Park.

A brief visit to Chester at the start of December . I was supposed to be shopping ! I wish now I had taken my camera, captured this on the phone a beautiful winter scenic.
An image of Park Street, Chester, a little area that is pure red brick Victorian, in particular the Albion Pub! This was shot on my lockdown walk earlier this year, on a misty morning.
This is shot from exactly the same spot as I shot a picture from a couple of years previously at night time..There is a wonderful atmosphere around this particular area.
