First run in Chennai last August - a beautiful morning.

Sometimes, when your kitchen is full of ants, and you don´t go out of your house never, and you are left alone without a translator to receive carpenters, plumbers , electricians... is difficult to stop a little bit and remember that all you need is love, a hug ,and a sea to look at...

Towards the end of December I decided to drive down to the Mahabalipuram Beach on the outskirts of Chennai (India) hoping to catch some interesting action. But little did I anticipate that I would be entering a sea of red & yellow that morning :-O The whole beach was packed with the followers of Angalaamman, all attired in bright red & yellow garments, ready to take a dip in the sea water during sunrise as a part of their religious rituals. And as I waded through the red & yellow mass surrounding me, I came across this delightful monkey, also dressed in striking red & yellow, doing some brisk busking under the expert direction of its master :-D

 

Today Tamil Nadu celebrates Pongal, a harvest festival dedicated to the Sun God. This day marks the start of the sun's six-month-long journey northwards. So, a very happy Pongal to everybody :-)

Marina Beach is a natural urban beach and is 13 kms (8 miles) long. This is longest natural urban beach in India and world's 2nd longest urban beach. This is one of the most happening place in Chennai.

Muttiah Muralitharan is congratulated by Chennai teammate S Badrinath after picking up a wicket.

 

Bit Wierd looking LGD WAP 7 # 30238 pulls Chennai Rajdhani into NZM pf 3 . This loco failed somewhere between Faridabad and Ballabhgarh then WAP 4 #22249 was brought which took it upto MAS. This made it 5hrs 30 mins late
