My maternal grandfather was a Transylvanian Saxon and built up a workshop for painting and saddlery of cars in Bucharest. Apparently there was much to celebrate, because of the few photos of him which are preserved, most show him with a glass in his hand, as here (sitting on the right).

Mein Großvater mütterlicherseits war Siebenbürger Sachse und baute sich in Bukarest eine Werkstätte für Lackiererei und Sattlerei von Autos auf. Offenbar gab es viel zu feiern, denn von den wenigen Fotos die von ihm erhalten sind zeigen ihn die meisten mit einem Glas in der Hand, so wie hier (rechts sitzend).
