Checking in Colette was the winner for a little photo time today.

The fun part about attending convention is that if you are a collector of primarily one line, the "gift" dolls force you to consider expanding your horizons. While I love Eden and Lilith in the Nu Face series, I hadn't collected them when Colette was offered, so I had no emotional attachment to her original screening.
I wasn't sure what to think of this girl when I first got her, but in front of the lens, something magical happens. The makeup is striking but still natural, and there are very subtle highlights to her hair. Colette "2.0" looks much better with her hair relaxed a little and brought forward to her face.
She just might be a keeper.

Everyone in Australia now knows what this man is doing. No, he is not mindlessly checking his phone. He is using his QR code app to "check in" before he is allowed to use the services of Flippers. It is surveillance on a scale we have never known before. They can even check his vaccination status while they're at it. This is ostensibly for health reasons, but will it ever go away? I don't think so! My personal phone doesn't do apps. I wonder what George Orwell would say about it all?
Once tried taking a picture through an airport lounge in New York..you can imagine how long that went unnoticed..about 10 seconds before being accosted..(come to think of it, New York JFK isn't the smartest place to be snapping pictures) .. Took this at Heathrow before boarding a flight, was a stunning sunset .. loved the tones, hues and wet runway reflections
After a sniff at the door frame (for the second time), Papa Tian stands up to the window to check if his keepers were still there in the hopes of scoring some treats

Colette arrived here yesterday. When I first saw her pic., I was like ewww, is she the new Colette?
I said I won't buy any convention doll this year,but now she's here LoL she's a NUface gal after all!
I know she suppose to has a straight forward eyes, but mine seems has a right glancing eyes.
TT: "Peek-a-boo! I see you!" *giggle*
MX: "Oh, Tian. You silly goose. It's not nice sneaking up on someone."
TT: "Sneaking up? Oh please, you smelled me from a mile away."
last summer. the little twin flower girls.
this summer ..........
6 weeks with mom. no time for beach.
two hospitalizations for her. many issues to manage.
no camera clicks right now. the focus has changed
to giving her the loving attention and care she so deserves.
i tell her we will talk it over when i am 87 (her present age)
and she is 117. (she was age 30 when she gave birth to her twin 'gulls.)
we continue to count our blessings and
hope to have all 5 of her children here
Sunday for a bit of a celebration of life.
perhaps a few camera clicks then.
hoping to return to flickr fun sooooooooooooooner than later.
meanwhile ... big smiles and hugs to faithful and fab flickr friends. xoxoxo
