I've driven through this junction hundreds of times and often wondered what this shot would look like. When I saw snow on the ground I knew that would give extra contrast so I parked up and went up onto a foot bridge to tkae the shot. I could not get a full sequence of the traffic lights in one exposure so this is 4 shots stacked in photoshop.

The sky was glowing when I got there but didnt last long it was a bit of a rush trying to compose because there was another Tog there.
Near Collywell bay Seaton Sluice.
There is a lovely story attached to this iconic place in the north east of England, a lovley man obviously named Charlie used to tend to this garden when it was attached to the mainland, a sign of changing times and tides.
This stump was charred during a prescribed burn at the refuge last month. The fire was used to prevent tree encroachment in the grasslands.

The Char Minar, 1807, ( Four Minarets) was part of a madrassa built by a Turkoman merchant called Khalif Niyazkul. The madrassa is long gone, The beautiful minarets are all that is left.
Serra do Amolar in Pantanal is a place almost untouched by the hands of man. It is the last frontier of the Pantanal with an enormous natural wealth. Altogether, there are 80km of mountains spread over 300 thousand hectares between the states of Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso as well as Bolivia. Serra do Amolar in Pantanal is surely one of Brazil’s best kept secrets. One of the biggest challenges for the conservation of Serra do Amolar has happened in 2020, when 90% of Serra do Amolar was taken by fire. Many animals died and part of the vegetation remains charred to this day, as if to remind us of the dangers of environmental imbalance in this biome so dependent on rain cycles and so affected by human action. This picture is an aerial view from 2018, when I visited this stunning place.

El tanque- Char Chaman tiene una plataforma construida en el centro. Hay cuatro puentes en cuatro direcciones diferentes que conducen a la plataforma y permiten que las personas lleguen a la plataforma desde cualquier lado, esta plataforma servÃa apara acoger a músicos. La plataforma y los puentes están hechos de arenisca roja, que se ve muy hermosa junto con el agua. Akbar, sus begums y muchos nobles a menudo visitaban este tanque para disfrutar de la refrescante brisa que proporciona el agua que se refresca naturalmente. El legendario músico Tansen actuó en una isla en el medio del tanque Anup Talao y se dice que con solo su mirada hacÃa que se encendieran las lámparas… .

On 19 August 1745, after Prince Charles judged he had enough military support, he climbed the hill near Glenfinnan as MacMaster of Glenaladale raised his royal standard. The Young Pretender then announced to all the mustered clans he claimed the Scottish and the English thrones in the name of his father James Stuart ('the Old Pretender'). A MacPhee (Macfie) was one of two pipers with Bonnie Prince Charlie when he raised his banner above Glenfinnan. Afterwards brandy was distributed to the assembled highlanders to celebrate the occasion.
