"NEW ROADS, LIKE TWIN BRIDGES OF CEMENT, SWEEP OVER GERMAN PLAINS AND ROLLING WOODED HILLS
Because of her position on the map, military necessity long ago led Germany to build stone-paved roads radiating in various directions from Berlin. They were sufficient for horse-drawn artillery, but rough for high-speed motor vehicles. Today smooth cement roads, remindful of America's best, are beginning to be laid toward frontiers. Each strip here, wide enough for four cars, is a one-way drive. Surface crossings are often avoided by the use of overpasses, with four-leaf clover approaches."

I was supposed to be flying from SJC to San Diego to have dinner with Craig Venter, but my plane was terribly delayed.
So I scrambled, and rerouted to Burbank, where all I knew was that one of my partners could fly me to La Jolla later on. He was hosting a dinner party, or so I thought.
When the car arrived on Hollywood Blvd., I asked “Is this Burbank?” and the driver just shook his head….

Both the flora and the fauna change their apparel for the fall season. A migrating Common Loon is molting to its winter plumage and late day sun illuminates golden foliage of a leaning Paper Birch along the shoreline giving it a glowing spotlight. Boulder Junction, Wisconsin on October 8, 2019.

"BERLIN, WITH MORE THAN 4,200,000 INHABITANTS, IS THE WORLD'S FOURTH LARGEST CITY
Only New York, London, and Tokyo exceed the German capital in population. Though mentioned in history as early as 1237, Berlin is essentially a city of modern times, having grown enormously in the past century. In the distance stretches Unter den Linden, with its old trees, since destroyed. At the right appears the Cathedral; at the left the Schloss, former palace of the Prussian kings, now a museum."

my good friend mike (midahed) and i have been having pretty intense conversations. and i think that he's, without knowing, really affecting the way i see my photography. the way i interpret my photos. we don't really talk about photography, but more about life's wonders and life's crap and just life in general. we talk about my friends, about my boyfriend, about his wife, about my parents, and about ourselves. I'm slowly beginning to realize that i might be changing quite a bit because of a friend that i just recently found. so i guess this is just to thank him for being a very good friend to me.
i know this photo doesn't show a very happy change, persay. maybe i'm a werewolf inside. haha. anyways.
[you really should check his photos out, they are good stuff]
Changes can be Good or Bad!

Yep, the weather was definitely making a change here in North Wales... for the worse! :-( I thought that, since the barometer was a retirement present given to my great grandfather (yes, it's THAT old!), it would be appropriate to age it to the same era.
Taken for OurDailyChallenge; "change"
Just as the sun peeped over the top of the temple, the reflective pool took on a dramatic change in colour juxtaposing beautifully with this ladies red outfit
Still don't know what I was waiting for
And my time was running wild
A million dead-end streets and
Every time I thought I'd got it made
It seemed the taste was not so sweet

The reason I redesigned the nose was to allow for colour changes for various squadrons...no prizes for guessing this one.

I built a replica of the Macy's LEGO Thanksgiving Float, aka The Brick-Changer! I tried my best to have it be as accurate as possible to the official float as well as to the concept renders. Look for it at LEGOLAND NY during our annual Holiday Bricktacular event!

Grapette is a grape-flavored soft drink that was first produced and marketed in 1939...It was sold to the Rheingold Corporation in 1970, which marketed the Rheingold, Ruppert-Knickerbocker, and Gablinger's lines of beers, as well as several regional brands of soft drinks in California, New Mexico, and Puerto Rico...then in 1975, Rheingold was purchased by PepsiCo, Inc. in a hostile takeover, acquiring 80% of the company's stock. However, the Federal Trade Commission determined that PepsiCo controlled too many soft drink companies, and thus ordered that PepsiCo divest several prominent brands...When the divestiture was complete in 1977, Grapette was in the hands of Monarch Beverage Company, which manufactured NuGrape... As Monarch already manufactured a grape soda, it was determined that they did not need a second. Representatives from Monarch flew to Grapette's headquarters and essentially fired the Grapette team...In 1989, Grapette started producing a line of soda for Walmart and eventually sold the name to them in 2000...
LEGO is changing up the format of the Collectible Minifigures line. The first change is the reduction of the number of minifigures in a set. There are only 12 this time instead of the usual 16 for a non-licensed set. The other change is that there will be only 30 to a box instead of […]

Fayetteville, Arkansas -- Local peace/environment group and Marshall Islanders rally together. About 10,000 Marshallese Islanders live in Springdale, Arkansas and travel frequently back to the Islands even though jobs and services are hard to come by on the Islands. They love their beautiful islands, but many are coming to terms with the realization that the islands will be swallowed by the ocean. They told us many stories of too many king tides, sea walls breached, and graves being washed open. They want to open conversations with people in their Marshallese community who are reluctant to accept what's happening so people will be ready.
Many more Marshallese will probably immigrate to Northwest Arkansas as the islands sink, because they already have a community established here.
