While my husband ran 105 km. I had lots of opportunity and time to capture beauty along the way. (you can congratulate him on my stream... :-) )
I remember coming to this same spot a few years back but it sure did not look like this. Although tourism is good for the locals I find it's an eye sore and just to many boats on the water!!

I've recently decided to change my look, nothing major, just tinkering.
Does it work?
I hope so, be wonderful to read your thoughts my darlings. ❤

As the warmth of Summer passes and the chill of Autumn is upon us the changing of colours brings new life to our surroundings.
“In the space between yes and no, there's a lifetime. It's the difference between the path you walk and the one you leave behind; it's the gap between who you thought you could be and who you really are; its the legroom for the lies you'll tell yourself in the future.”
― Jodi Picoult, Change of Heart

Notice the change from the relatively
gentle yellow slopes in the foreground to the
steeper red cliffs beyond. More resistant to
erosion than the soft yellow mudstone, the rocks
of Red Cathedral form steep cliffs. These cliffs
are composed of conglomerate similar to that
exposed near the mouth of Golden Canyon, and
they are also the debris of a former alluvial fan.
Oxidation of iron creates the red color, like the
process that forms rust. For an impressive view
of Red Cathedral’s fluted walls, hike another ¼
mile up the main wash, keeping to the right at
forks in the drainage.
As you continue your exploration of the
rugged mountains, canyons, salt flats, and other
landforms of Death Valley National Park, notice
the many geologic clues that are clearly exposed
in this desert land. As you have seen here in
Golden Canyon, processes working today have
also been working in the past. These same
processes will continue into the future, shaping
and changing this dynamic landscape. Source: www.nps.gov/deva/planyourvisit/upload/Golden%20Canyon%20T...
The Queen Elinor transforming doll from the Disney Store. You don't actually have to put her in the bear suit, it works fine on its own. But I guess if kids were acting out the story, it would be fun to put her in the suit.

A few days ago I shot this beautiful little berry and it was pink & red, you don't find much pink in the fall, but now the berries have changed to this wonderful red glow. Magical.
I was looking at all the pics on this page and thinking about how very different they all are - bold, calming, funny, soft....i like the wide range of emotions they bring out in me. And hopefully you. I love how looking at a photo can really make you feel something. Sometimes I open a picture on Flickr and my hand goes to my chest and my mouth falls open. I love that...
Thank you all for your thoughtful comments. I know I cannot take a pic every day that makes people go wow.... but I was thrilled to see your comments on that ocean pic a few down the page here because I think it is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken.
Cheers. And HBW!
Sheffield 1988 and eighteen months into the world of deregulated bus services in the UK. South Yorkshire Dennis Dominator 2113 is seen in an area of the city undergoing redevelopment with a former Greater Manchester Daimler Fleetline behind loading on a service that would be being operated in competition with the PTE.
South Yorkshire faced deregulation harder than others as heavily subsidised fares previously had made public transport a viable option for the people of the county. However that fatefull day in October 1986 changed all. Bus fares climbed and new operators appeared on the streets to compete with the PTE.
Any takers on who is operating the Fleetline behind? Brecks?
It's one of those cloudy days in West Yorkshire, where we have a sky that is ever changing and both a mix of cloud and blue sky peeping through. By 5 pm there is a lot more sunshine ans there was this morning earlier on,.....better than rain !
You can see on the fields though the change in light levels as clouds pass over....all looking rather lush at the moment.
