The Bow River is a river in the Canadian province of Alberta. It begins in the Rocky Mountains and winds through the Alberta foothills onto the prairies where it meets the Oldman River, the two then forming the South Saskatchewan River. These waters ultimately flow through the Nelson River into Hudson Bay. The Bow River runs through the city of Calgary, taking in the Elbow River at the historic site of Fort Calgary near downtown. The Bow River pathway, developed along the river's banks, is considered a part of Calgary's self-image.

This is my attempted at film noir. I don't think i've got it quite right but it the best I could do. I will own up to having a little melt down trying to do it and my lovely model and daughter Jessie, working and hard on the lighting for me and saying lets try this. Needless to say dinner was late!
I found this quite hard to do and been so busy just lately had trouble getting my head round it but this is my effort.

A zigzag is a pattern made up of small corners at variable angles, though constant within the zigzag. The first thing I thought of was a zipper (backlit, low exposure).

Some of my favorite days in Portland are the still, foggy ones, where everything is muffled and quiet.
Found it this morning... The word "love"scratched on the sidewalk cement.

We live in an apartment with a 10 month old - space is at a premium, so I used some negative space to accentuate a small representation of the greater entropy.

Title taken from a Hemingway quote: "When you work hard all day with your head and know you must work again the next day what else can change your ideas and make them run on a different plane like whisky?"
This type of creation is new to me . . . until I get a copy of Photoshop, Picasa and paint will have to do for creating stuff like this. Not bad in lightbox . . . .
