Chagrin Falls is a wonderful waterfall right in the middle of of the town of Chagrin Falls, not far from Cleveland. It made for a nice early morning trip!
Another angle of the falls near Squaw Rock in the South Chagrin reservation after last weekends snow.
Using my Tripod and Nd Filters that i got for my birthday and Christmas! This was taken at the base of the stairs by the falls.
I like the effect i was able to get using the filter but due to the rain we've received this week the falls were really flowing making it hard to get the picture i wanted but i still like the way it came out.
It's one of these days.....when you feel like crying for no particular reason...or maybe there is one.... or more you've been keeping deep inside... pretending that everything is all right and conforting everyone instead of taking care of yourself.....it's one of those days....but tomorrow is another day :-)

"Joy and Sorrow are inseparable..together they come and when one sits alone with you, remember the other one is asleep upon your bed..."
~Kahlil Gibran~
BTW, I highly recommend the movie "Inside Out." It is a beautiful depiction of how joy and sadness must co-exist, to give us the richest experience of this fragile thing called life. :-)

Flickr Friends: Thanks for your visits, comments, faves, and invites. They are much appreciated. I will get around to your sites later today. Because of business demands, I will be somewhat scarce on Flickr over the next 3-4 days. Please bear with me.
About this Photo: Taken in the South Chagrin Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks in Bentleyville, Ohio. This is a picture of the Chagrin River, which is a designated scenic river. It is a bit muddy because of all the melting snow and rain in the past couple weeks.

I was out looking for something to photograph this morning. To my chagrin, not a critter in sight. I thought to myself, Don, “you are really getting deep in the weeds with this wildlife photo-shoot thing.” Then it dawned on me, I should actually get down in the weeds and look for a subject… and I found one.
PS. My grandfather was a wellspring of sage advice… I remember him telling me: “Don’t Eat Yellow Snow” and “All Mushrooms are Edible, Some Only Once.”

Have a great weekend!:-]

About this Photo: This is an HDR created with 3 photos using Photomatrix. It is a picture of the Chagrin River in Gates Mills, Ohio taken on January 31, 2009. You may recall some earlier winter and summer photographs of this very spot I took and posted here on Flickr. It looks completely different now.
Note: Anyone else having trouble preserving the EXIF data when creating an HDR? If so, take a look at this link: www.flickr.com/groups/photomatix/discuss/7215759416235619...
Quarry Rock in the South Chagrin Reservation near Chagrin Falls Ohio. This shot of the falls shows the beautiful reflection of the colors in the river from the trees above.
Probably my favorite waterfall I've taken pictures of so far but there are so many more to see in both the metro parks and CVNP as well as Hocking Hills down near Columbus.
Popular touristy spot close to Cleveland.
