I wanted to use the square shape in this piece, which I found to be more challenging in composing and lighting in an interesting way, possibly because of its even number of faces. I tried to create dynamics by playing with the color, scale and orientation of the dark shape, which seemed to work best at a 45° angle placed along the diagonal of the composition. I was between choosing soft shadows or long sharp ones, and after trying them both I stuck with the 1st choice which gave a smoother result. I enjoyed the visual result of the seams between the white squares, which makes me want to experiment more with them in the future.

ECOS has taught me so much up to now. Things about composition, tones, storytelling and also consistency, motivation and sharing more intimate pieces of myself. The more time I spend with my pieces, the more depth I see in what they have to offer me. This inspires me to keep learning and sharing.
The goal of this piece was to play with off-balance composition and lack of space. It ended up looking surprisingly comfortable due to the breathing room between the spheres and their soft tones. It was challenging to keep the black shape interesting enough due to it's large surface and lack of texture. I tried to engineer it by using a gradient, which also seems to add a little bit of weight on the empty left side. I also decided to rotate the image from its original orientation since it made the spheres look like they're set into position by gravity. I particularly enjoy using large shapes that get cropped out of the image which I think I'll keep playing with in future pieces.

In this piece I wanted to play with scale and relationships. First I started with the relationship of the triangle and the small sphere. Then I wanted to introduce the big circle in a way that adds to the composition by indicating a relationship with the smaller sphere, but is not too distracting. Managing the harmonies of the grey tones was the main challenge in making it work, and I enjoyed exploring several different combinations until I found one that felt good enough.

Since these days seem to call for new directions, I thought I'd try a slightly different style using only tones of black. I enjoyed the parts where a shape's tone blends with the tone of the background, or pops out due to its contrast even though the contrasting tones are very close. I also enjoy the slight reflection along the edges the big shapes, as opposed to the more prominent reflection of the small sphere. For some reason the composition reminds me of a stylized version of some kind of animal profile.

I would like to think that one day humans will sail on the oceans of Alien Worlds. If we as a race could just stop wasting money on weapons and use half of that money to look after our own precious planet and the other half to explore the wonderful universe that surrounds us then we as the human race might be a lot happier!

This piece started with the idea of exploring a composition of large rectangles exceeding the frame size, rotated in such a way that creates interesting negative space between them. After working on a thumbnail and the first draft on the computer I realized that it lacked a point of focus. The triangle seemed like the most dynamic choice as a point of focus for this arrangement of 3 elements. At the same time I wanted to keep it soft in order to create contrast against the sharp edges of the rectangles. It now seems to me that none of them become necessarily more important than the other, but maintain an interesting dialogue between them. I also enjoyed the contrast between the prominent gradients on the silver faces, against the soft and even surface of the translucent material, it gives me a feeling of curiosity and calmness at the same time.

This piece started by focusing more on the main idea of this project, which is simplicity. It's about breaking down the act of composition into bite sized pieces, in order to be able to explore deeper the relationship of simple objects, in the same way a kid would. I started by using white shapes on a white background and playing with subtle tones, however it seemed like the extreme simplicity called for more contrast, therefore I ended up using the darker one. I enjoyed trying different tones on the two shapes in order to establish a relationship between them and make them pop against the background. I also enjoyed the discreet highlights on the triangle and the shaded edges of the square which are there since it is an inverted extrusion. I have already explored tonal relationships in previous pieces and I'm now starting to develop an interest in using tones to create direction and purpose in an image. I hope to be able to do this effectively in the near future.

Due to moving into a new area and readjusting my daily habits, it has been a while since my last ECOS piece. However the decision to start watching composition tutorials again woke up my original excitement, which led me into doing a new piece :-)
In this one I wanted to explore the creation of a focal area through the use of light, and then create a focal element within that, by harnessing the principle of contrast. I divided the scene into two major areas, a shaded one at the bottom and a bright one at the top, within which I placed a dark reflective sphere that plays the role of the focal point. The two grey blocks manipulate the light creating visual interest, while the circular hole unifies and frames the composition.
I enjoyed the translucency of the framing element, as well as the highlights it creates around its edge. It was also fun to observe the clear hierarchy of tones from dark to bright when viewing the image resized down to a thumbnail. It has been one of my goals to learn how to create images that read well both as thumbnail and full size, and it was quite exciting to see it happen here. If I was to spend more time on it I would try to see if I can add a little more visual interest within the shaded area.

Im in the shiny latex Hawaii at the black latex sea bay and the latex poilsh waves are big here. When i got there lots of cute kawaii fat latex shiny spheals came out the polish to say hi to me :3 Shiny spheals are a kind of latexmon (Latex pokemon) and i think there so so so cute :3
My latex outfit is from LTX. some very nice shiny outfits there :) and my boot which are my fave latex boots ever are from VVB and my latex skin as i have always had on as it my skin :) is from POC. POC is close down now :( but theres and POC latex vendor at the sim Latexia :)

Latex Molly was out in the latex polish rain getting all slippery and wet :) when she heard something squeaking in the dark. This maybe hard to for some believe but this is a self portrait of me in RL crossed with SL. I have here my RL body, hair and full latex outfit as I'm always shiny in both worlds. The SL parts of me in that i have red latex skin and hair. It's me wish my dream to become 100% made of latex in RL being a shiny latex being, a latex goddess :)

Rubberdoll Dice is a new latex land doll :) she wanted to become a latex land doll for a long time before this foto was taken but not had full latex ;(
Now that shes all latex shes now a ture latex land doll :D So I took her to the latex beach at night where she can get all slippery and wet in the latex polish sea :) and as I took this latex foto it started raining latex polish :D :D

Heres a new shiny rubbery latex pretty cure girl :) In the engish anime shes called Emily and is a school girl. She was very flat chested and age 14, here shes age 16 and is a huge latex lover. She loves pink so I put her in almost the same colors as in the anime.
I will do more of the pretty cure girls in latex as latex suits them :) Latex suits everyone and everything as shiny things are so nice and pretty :D

The great rubbery wall is so long that i was walking to all day long and meet a few shiny rubberdolls along the way. When the shiny-sunset came i made my way till the latex hills got a little bigger and the latex rubbery wall became up hill making it hard to get up the smooth slippery latex. Its night now and i meet a latex panda bear who was in my way. hopefully it only wants a latex bear hug :3
