As me and a friend of mine were waiting just to the left a few hundred feet away for MILW 156 to be moved to KCUS, we saw a Slow Moving Eastbound Headed through the KC Metro sub toward Neff, the leader in which puffing out smoke with graffiti and the other two behind being severely tagged aswell. And From a wise Person, he would call these "the Spirit of California" units.

Hydrangeas are in bloom while an EF66 leads Train #1096 north towards Tokyo at the S curve in Komekami. In Japan, freight trains operate with one-man crews. Here however, a group of three employees crowd the cab of the EF66 on an engineer certification run.

Noted by U.S. Senator Bill Nelson as “a jewel for downtown Fort Pierce and the Treasure Coast”, the four-story Federal Courthouse features a full-height atrium with exposed gable steel roof trusses and an expansive exterior glass wall. Column-free areas and a 21- foot floor-to-floor height at the third-floor level allow for the addition of future courtrooms to complement the two provided on the fourth floor.
The building structure consists of cast-in-place concrete slabs and joists framing to cast-in-place concrete frames supported on a mat foundation. The architectural standing seam roofing across the main roof level is supported by sloped steel structural elements bearing on the flat concrete roof structure. The roofing at the two fourth-floor courtrooms is framed and supported by pitched steel bar joists with a steel roof deck, providing high ceilings for the courtrooms.
The exterior walls, designed for blast and wind load requirements, are comprised of reinforced concrete masonry units with a stucco finish.
As required by the GSA, the project conforms to the ISC Security Design Criteria as well as their Progressive Collapse requirements.

Jeff Ostrow and Brian Kopelowitz of the Fort Lauderdale-based law firm Kopelowitz Ostrow P.A., and Fort Lauderdale-based full-service real estate firm Stiles, hosted the groundbreaking of Las Olas Boulevard’s newest commercial project, One West Las Olas.
The event took place yesterday, May 7, at 4 p.m. Mayor of Fort Lauderdale Jack Seiler, along with nearly 150 others including Fort Lauderdale and Broward County elected officials, company and construction executives, community leaders and VIPs were on-site to celebrate.
The mayor spoke and said, “I could not be more pleased as the Mayor of this city to see a signature building come in on this corner.” Seiler added, “We are going to be proud of this building for many years to come.”
Situated at the corner of Andrews Avenue and Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, the 35,000-square-foot office building will boast six floors of class A office space, along with a rooftop sky lounge and 1,500 square feet of ground floor retail. The property is being developed by One West Las Olas LLC, which is managed by Jeff Ostrow.
One West Las Olas will serve as the new headquarters for Kopelowitz Ostrow P.A., which will occupy approximately 12,000 square feet across two full floors.
The estimated $8 million project is expected to open in the second quarter of 2015. Stiles will utilize a fast track construction delivery method, which has been employed successfully to projects of similar size and scope. Nearly 100 jobs will be created through the 12-month construction period.
“Kopelowitz Ostrow P.A. has entered an exciting new growth era that has solidified our position in our hometown of Fort Lauderdale while allowing us to take a more active role in the continuing development of Las Olas Boulevard, where we are deeply rooted” said Ostrow. “We believe our new state-of-the-art office and retail building will further enhance the beautiful architecture and landscapes of Las Olas Boulevard while enriching the amazing culture and vibrant day-and night-life that exists in the area.”
The project will be built by Stiles Construction and has been designed by Stiles Architectural Group. In addition, Stiles Realty is actively leasing the property while Stiles Property Management is positioned to manage the assignment upon completion.
“Stiles is proud to employ our various disciplines to help take this exciting project from vision to reality,” said Stiles Construction president Tim Moore. “One West Las Olas will help to further establish Kopelowitz Ostrow P.A. as one of South Florida’s most prominent law firms while enriching Las Olas Boulevard and the historic block that is home to a variety of well-known retailers as well as Stiles’ 445,000-SF Class A mixed-use development, The AutoNation Building.”
Stiles was a natural choice for the project, having successfully developed more than 3.5 million square feet of urban office and residential projects on Las Olas Boulevard, including several highly distinguished LEED-certified office projects, such as The Autonation Building, Bank of America Plaza at Las Olas City Centre, Plaza at Las Olas, and Las Olas Centre I and II.
In addition to One West Las Olas, Stiles is preparing to unfold plans for its newest urban development in downtown Fort Lauderdale, a LEED-certified 254-unit luxury residential tower of 30 floors, located one block from Las Olas Boulevard and 8th Street.

Since we did the Paperwallet screen-print design a little while ago I've been slightly obsessed with the screen-print equipment and coming up with a good one screen design that would work well at any size (well, two screens if you count the 'id-iom certified' stamp). For 'A crown fit for a king' I came across the notion that in heraldry a crown would be set upon a crest to signify the status of it's owner and thought i could run with that as the basis for the design. What's the significance of the '125' i hear you cry. Well, all i can say is that it is something that should hopefully make sense to the recipient. And we'll have to leave it at that for now...

NASA has certified a new lander flight training course using helicopters, marking a key milestone in crew training for Artemis missions to the Moon. Through Artemis, NASA will explore the lunar South Pole, paving the way for human exploration farther into the solar system, including Mars.
The mountains and valleys in northern Colorado offer similar visual illusions and flight environments to the Moon. NASA partnered with the Colorado Army National Guard at the High-Altitude Army National Guard Aviation Training Site near Gypsum, Colorado, to develop the foundational flight training course. During the two-week certification run in late August, NASA astronauts Mark Vande Hei and Matthew Dominick participated in flight and landing training to help certify the course.

Although most of the American Robins here migrate south, a few do winter over... although whether these are the ones we see in the summer or are some who have come down from farther north, I'm not sure. The heated birdbath is an attraction for these and all of the backyard birds (and water is one of the requirements for a National Wildlife Certified Habitat, which we have maintained in the garden here).
Sunrise down in the Fairfax District of Kansas City. Many industrial plants along with older run down buildings in this part of the city. The color version looked equally as disturbing but the blue skies behind it didn't give the dirty feeling I wanted to portray here.
