Verder richting het hart van het centrum van Almelo, loop je tegen nogal veel blauw aan. Zelf vind ik het nogal overdadig.
Further towards the heart of the center of Almelo, you come across quite a lot of blue. I personally find it quite excessive.
Geen blauw uurtje meer, maar wel mooie verlichting. Route richting centrum van Almelo waar ook de 3 beelden van de ijsvogels zijn te vinden. Vroeger stond hier de fabriek van Van Heek-Scholco Textielfabrieken b.v. met daar weer voor een hele grote parkeerplaats en waar op donderdagmorgen en zaterdag de markt werd gehouden. Sinds enige jaren is het water weer terug in het centrum van Almelo. Druk op de 'L' knop.

(Voorheen) Hoofdkantoor van de N.V. Purperhoedenveem, met opslagruimte, monsterlokalen en conciërgewoning.
Vemen waren oude organisaties van waagdragers en pakhuisbeheerders. Amsterdam kende er zo'n twintig. Het Purperhoedenveem was opgericht in 1875 en daarmee relatief jong onder de vemen.
Het Purperhoedenveem had een sterke positie in de opslag van Sumatratabak. Een vestiging met monsterzaal in het centrum van de toenmalige tabakshandel moet zeer gunstig zijn geweest.
Het veem werd in 1966 opgeheven (amsterdamopdekaart.nl).
Die Centrum-Galerie ist ein Einkaufszentrum in Dresden, das am 17. September 2009 an der Prager Straße eröffnet wurde. Ihren Namen übernahm sie vom alten Dresdner Centrum Warenhaus, das am Ort der heutigen Galerie 2007 abgerissen wurde. Het complex is opgebouwd uit zeven verschillende gebouwen: het Europese hoofdkantoor van Sony Corporation, het Forum, het hoofdkantoor van de Duitse spoorwegen, Filmhaus, Esplanade Residence, een bedrijfstoren aan Bellevuestraße en een bedrijfstoren aan de Philharmonie.
De bouw van het complex begon eind 1995/begin 1996. Het werd geconstrueerd door Hochtief. In 2000 werd het complex opgeleverd. Het heeft een totale kaveloppervlakte van 26.500 m², de vloeroppervlakte ligt rond de 132.500 m².
Het ontwerp van het Sony Center is afkomstig van het architectenbureau Murphy/Jahn uit Chicago. De grote man achter dit bureau is Helmut Jahn.
