Detail of the Exhibition Center (展览中心). Built after the revolution with Russian help (one can see this from the architectural style). Located on Yan An Road (延安路). Used for art exhibitions, trade fairs are held at the new Pudong Exhibition Center (aka EXPO center, though it has nothing to do with the EXPO 2010).

I have been meaning to find some Cypress trees for a long time, finally found my way to lake Moultry, a lot of the shoreline was frozen over, and if you look closely you can see the base of the trees are still frozen.
Our next stop is one of Icelande's most impressive sites, just behind the visitor center. It looks spectacular in winter. Stay tuned, winter is coming!

Mono Lake, Eastern Sierra, California
A seagull swimming in Mono Lake, a saline lake on the eastern side of California. The formations on the left are tufa towers, calcium carbonate deposits created by up-welling springs. The towers were revealed after the lake's water levels dropped when the city of Los Angeles started drawing more water than could be replaced. A growing public uproar and lawsuits in the 1980s resulted in the stablization of the lake's water level.
As for the sea gull, I had had other plans that morning, but since the bird was not going anywhere, I made it part of the composition. Sometimes I do that with people as well.

Krzywiń is a small town in the province Greater Poland, with approximately 1,700 inhabitants. It was a private clergy town belonging to the Benedictine abbot in Lubin. The first preserved mention of Krzywiń as a town comes from 1272. In 1382, the city was destroyed during domestic fights, the reconstruction took place half a century later. In 1447, the location privilege was renewed. The center of the development was a Market Square with a town hall (the present one comes from 1905) in the south-eastern frontage. In the middle of the Market Square there is a statue of St. Wawrzyniec street and the frontages are built with houses from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The market was revitalized in 2014 and is a major tourist attraction.

I frequently go to beautiful Hakone Gardens in Saratoga, California. This is a light at the Upper House where we meditate on Saturdays.
I processed a balanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure. The bokeh is from the 50mm prime lens.

Our next door neighbor has a lovely clematis vine that is currently covered in at least 50 flowers. Here's a close up of the center of those beauties.
Thanks for stopping by :)
At the beginning of the mystical journey, the soul is so captivated by the love of God that in the rush of passionate desire, like a lover’s flight to her beloved on a summer night, everything “earthly” that might delay and distract love on this journey is plunged into darkness: the only light is desire itself. But God brings us out of these beginnings and leads us on.
