With its recent proposal for a fleet of New Routemasters, First seems to be upping the ante in Leeds. Whether a product of the group's well-oiled publicity machine, or part of a serious evaluation exercise, this tri-axle BusTech CDi could be considered in the same premium league as the New Routemaster. The prospect of fully-finished buses being imported from Australia must be extremely remote, but the possibility of a licensing arrangement with local builder Optare is not (26-Dec-14).

Here's a bus that would probably turn a few heads in Glasgow. In terms of innovation, McGill's has not been backward in coming forward - but this Australian BusTech CDi requires a huge slice of imagination. Having expressed (but not pursued) an interest in Maltese bus operations, perhaps McGill's turned its attention to the Australian market and, on the back of this, set itself up as a UK agent for BusTech products? I have a few further UK liveries to follow but won't be overworking this image, which was sourced via Wikimedia Commons as below (26-Dec-14).

I had the opportunity to visit the wonderful CDI-NYC group in Manhattan. They have a fantastic space and are a fun group of girls. I highly recommend it!
