Dit is de laaste foto die ik maakte van Margootje, een week later, op 15 maart 2021 is ze overleden. Margot was een klein schuw poesje, veel mensen die ons bezochten hebben haar zelfs nooit gezien, omdat ze zich verstopte als er visite was.
Margootje sjouwde de hele dag achter mij aan, had plekjes in mijn atelier en lag graag op een dekentje bij de kachel in mijn werkkamer.
Ik mis haar!

This is the last photo I took of Margootje, a week later, on March 15, 2021 she died. Margot was a little shy, many people who visited us never even saw her, as she hid when there was a visitor.
Margootje trudged after me all day, had places in my studio and liked to lay on a blanket by the stove in my study.
I miss her!
They are always there. Some Feral cats that live near. They take up in places like my tralier or sheds where they can creep into.

Wachtmeister groeide op aan het Oostenrijkse Attermeer. Op 14-jarige leeftijd emigreerde ze naar Brazilië waar ze beeldende kunst studeerde in Porto Alegre. Ze specialiseerde zich in collages met verschillende materialen. Nu nog verwerkt ze vaak zilver- en goudfolie in haar tekeningen. In haar werk spelen katten een belangrijke rol. De kat beeldt ze vaak af in combinatie met muziek.

Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is catmania.
I have a personal information to share here: since several years now, I’m known as « cat-hat lady » in my neighborhood … Yes, I have several kitty ears hats and I wear them almost everyday. But that is about all that I have in common with cats… I love animals but my whole family is allergic to cats so no cats for us! However, I menage to find few cats up for this challenge. I hope you will like this catmania picture !!

Second choice for the theme Catmania from Smile on saturday
This is a ninot of the 2019 Fallas of Valencia. A ninot is each of the stone cardboard figures or other materials that make up a falla. Each Falla has a theme, this was specifically about musicals.
At night, all cats are black. A photo taken years ago . Added a texture. thanks Tota.

Hi flickr friends - we have been on the road and finally were able to see our daughter and her fam. (it's been a year & a half) and this is their latest addition - Samson... lots to smile about : )

Today is a black and white day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday. And also, we celebrate Mother’s Day in Canada: so happy Mother’s Day to all mothers, biological or adoptive, I wish you all an amazing day !!
And since I’m Polish and in Poland, Mother’s Day is always on May 26th (and it is also my Dad’s birthday) so I celebrate rather the 26th… And each year (or almost) I forget about Canadian Mother’s Day… That explains also, why i dont have a « Mother’s Day picture » this year… It was too late :-(. However, I’m sending my wishes and very positive vibes to all Mothers around the World who are celebrating today !!
My today’s picture is from my archives and I hope you will like it.

This is a fake cat that’s fooled many a person at my dads house for years! Weird when you pick it up, you expect it to be soft but it’s like a plank of wood!
