Although nonchalant, this description of "casual cactus" actually means a lot to me and is an inside joke with my other family members. Last year at Christmas, we were playing apples to apples and it was my turn as the judge. The word I got was "casual." My creativity is a long running joke in my family–I have a proclivity to make up words or think about things in a very creative way. My brother on the other hand is very literal and logical. Everyone put their cards in, and I chose "cactus" as being the most casual over his card, which I think was a couch. He could not see my logic; I was thinking of the tiny plants college students buy to decorate their dorm rooms that live on their windowsills. For Christmas presents that year, we had all drawn names out of a hat a we wrote haikus about the person we drew. My brother drew me, and his haiku read:
