On the beautiful Cayo Costa Island, off the coast of SW Florida in the Gulf of Mexico, accessible only by charter boat, private boat, ferry or helicopter.
I used my lil Olympus Tuff water proof camera for this adventure :)~

When I'm out setting up the LED lights for the Owls, this robin has decided it would be a good chance to get a last minute snack. I was most surprised to see it, whilst so dark. Of course I gave it some food.

For Textural Tuesday, and my Simple pleasures collection
I suppose that I should call them 'cast asides' really not 'castaways' like on a desert island! They are odds and ends that I simply have to shoot before I throw them away or use them. This is a small sprig of fresh basil combined with a tiny white daisy. I was keeping the basil fresh in an eggcup of water before adding it to my cooking ... and the flower was a left-over from a wilted bunch. And I am soooo reluctant to let anything go - I just placed them on glass and took a few shots!

I really really love this beach. There are two rock pinnacles in the water, separated by a sandstone point with a cave between the two of them. If the film "the beach" were to have a second location, I think this would have to be it. The smooth, crystal clear water, trees growing over rock, and pinnacle islands in the distance remind me of Thailand, yet is just on the coast of New Zealand. An incredible place, I hope I can get a sunrise photo next time.
