Two things are essential when traveling: a camera and music. I wanted my sweater and album to match.
P.S. I haven't taken a shuttle to the airport since July 7, 1995. Thirty years later, it felt like déjà vu. My friends often scold me for the inconvenience, but I will gladly do it if I can get to the airport for just $9.99.
When I travel, I often make reservations, cancel them, and sometimes make them again. The way I make travel plans is a journey of its own! I like to reserve things through Rakuten to earn cashback and use credit card points and promotions. Some people think that traveling has to be expensive because it’s traveling and that's okay to spend, but I prefer to save money so I can travel more. I dislike overspending! Every international city has amazing bookstores and interesting souvenirs to explore. I also need to overspend on books, cameras, and music. My mom says I'm an atypical Eastern European woman because every female we know spends money on herself. My financial history from my teenage years has left me anxious about paying more when I could spend less. The last time I took this plane route was in 2019 before the world went mad, and I didn't jump for joy when Delta had a mask on the flight. And it was April. Sometimes you have this feeling as if you are missing something like a part of the body. It’s no longer there and you think it is. I remember that from speaking to a patient at NYU in 2007 or 2008. I wonder if U2 felt the same pulling this album off the shelf years later. Funny how you can make a connection with something special only after that time period is gone.

first shots with the x-pro1 and the fuji x-mount 35mm f1.4 lens. this is an upgrade from my leica m8 which is really showing it's age now...I'm not joking! I got the camera plus the 18/2 and 27/2.8 lenses for £699 which is ridiculously good value for money. first impressions are promising especially in terms of picture quality. Focussing with either autofocus or manual focus with focus peaking has been a real challenge so far. Autofocus is slowish but more of a problem is that it often misses focus. The manual focus ring on the lens doesn't have focus stops which is a real annoyance for me and it has a very long throw. So far I really don't see the point of the OVF as there is no proper rangefinder focussing mechanism as this is not a rangefinder camera, it just looks like one! And the EVF can be quite laggy. But I knew all about all of this stuff before I bought it and I'm enjoying using it nevertheless. Next thing to do is to get an m-mount adaptor so I can stick some of my zeiss and voigtlander lenses on it.
