Packard introduced its Sixteenth Series models in September of 1937. Most changes for the Senior cars were cosmetic including pontoon-shaped fenders and split windshields. The Super Eight features Packard's silky-smooth 320 cubic-inch, 130-horsepower inline eight-cylinder engine, which was actually the Standard Eight engine of previous years. Packard tallied 48,682 sales for 1938, far less than 1937, but still the best showing of all independents. The market for custom coachwork was rapidly declining along with the number of luxury car makers following the stock market crash of 1929.
This car rides on the 137-inch wheelbase platform and is a unique custom-bodied Super Eight Coupe. It was delivered to the Mayfair Carriage Company in London to be fitted with this stylish and very British two-door body. Designated an export chassis by Packard, the car is equipped with both a right-hand drive and a 12-volt electrical system. The car had been ordered by a European shipping magnate, Aristotle Onassis, for his mother. While in Europe, the car resided in Greece, Italy, Spain, and France, prior to coming to the United States. After the war, the car was sadly neglected; it was abandoned and was being used as a chicken coop.(YIKES!!!) Its rescuer, an American Naval officer, brought it back to the United States, and it has since been restored to its former glory by its current owner.

Lancia's seen and photographed at Greenwich Concours Show 2021
Many prewar Lancia Aprilias were bodied or rebodied as sports cars just after the war by leading coachbuilders such as Pinin Farina, Touring, and Zagato. This custom-bodied Barchetta Corsa was built by the Italian Riva company on a prewar Aprilia sedan chassis. Milanese engine tuner Luigi Pagani prepared the engine for racing, installing a special aluminum cylinder head design and dual Weber carburetors, and the car was raced regularly by its owner, Luigi Beretta, throughout the early postwar years. This car has recently been driven by its owner in the Colorado Grand and the Mille Miglia.
This Lancia Pagani was built by Luigi Pagani with coachwork by Riva di Merate. It is powered by a Lancia Aprilia V4 engine that produces around 50 horsepower. Pagani was a Milano-based Lancia automobile dealer who found time to build a few racers based on Lancia and Fiat automobiles. The engines were modified by Pagani using his own patented methods and technology.

"Widely known as 'Twenty Grand', reflecting its 1932 selling price (in a time when many new cars were selling for less than $300), this supercharged Duesenberg with chassis number 2539 and engine J-513, was designed by Gordon Buehrig and built under Rollston's Rudy Creteur as a show car for the Chicago Century of Progress Exposition of 1933-1934 (better known as the Chicago World's Fair).
This graceful one-off closed-coupled design is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful Duesenbergs built. The design displays touches of Buerig's earlier Beverly berline body style as well as influences from Hibbard and Darrin while the rear of the body is similar to the Rollston-built Torpedo Phaeton.
After the car's 1933 debut in Chicago it failed to sell, so it was repainted in black and displayed at the second Chicago Exposition in 1934. It was subsequently sold to one of Duesenberg's best customers, Shreve M. Archer of the Archer-Daniels-Midland food processing company of Minneapolis. It would have several more owners before entering the care of its current owners.
The current owners acquired this Duesenberg in 1978 or 1979. Before undertaking a restoration, Mr. Buehring and former Duesenberg president Harold Ames were both consulted to ensure an accurate restoration. The car emerged from the shop at San Sylmar exactly as it appeared the day it left the factory for the World's Fair. Since that time, this wheeled sculpture has resided in the Grand Salon of the Nethercutt Collection in Sylmar, California.
In 1980 it was named Best of Show at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. "
Thanks to Concept Carz for the bio. Obviously I took this at Pebble Beach this last year.
Now if I had Roger's or Vince's skills, I would have lifted it from the 18th green away from other distractions and placed it......oh maybe on a rolling sand dune, or the rolling green hills of the California coast, but....................

Fonte: Wikipedia
