In April -May, the ground is covered by a carpet of Wood Anemo throughout southern Sweden. If you want to walk in the woods and not even tramp on the beautiful flowers, it is difficult to put your feet down. They are allowed to pick and put in vase.

a red-billed oxpecker (buphagus erythrorhynchus) on the best possible carpet for a photo,a burchell'szebra.
oxpeckers are very specialized birds, largest part of their food is found on the big mammals.they eat mostly ticks so these birds are very useful for the big animals.the oxpecker body is perfectly adapted to climb on the mammals and the bill works like a comb to catch also ticks larvae from the long hairs...i love to see these birds working and they are amazing "models" for some shots.

How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.

Kind of like a tightrope walker, this tiny gray bug was moving along the top of an unfolding hibiscus petal. It turned out to be a little beetle, apparently a "variegated carpet beetle." I don't know about the garden, but apparently we really don't want them to get into the house...

Surrounding the tower is Sadar Market where many locals and tourists sell, buy and hang out to people watch.
