With the bit of rain that we had. Sheffield sparkled & shone beautifully..!
Collage of three of the shots, all long exposures of 10seconds @F8..
This is a crop of one of the original photographs used to create this set. Uploaded retrospectively because the originals that I used to create this set have also been used to create the Colour Burst set and someone was curious about the originals
A shot of the large oak tree that towers over my house.
In April, a tornado skipped through my neighborhood. Fortunately, the vortex kept its distance, and I kept my tree.
Houses and trees just five blocks away weren't so lucky.
Tripod no movement long exposures while cars move past getting only the lights and not the cars making different colour light streaks.
I thought I uploaded this, but after looking through apparently I haven't I took it last year at Chinese new year in Manchester

Glenwood Avenue looking south from just below the intersection with Peace Street. This shoot took about an hour and a half to nail. Sans tripod, I set the camera in a beanbag on the opened trunk-lid of the jeep. Each shot took about a 25 second exposure for depth of field and motion, a 10 second shutter delay to avoid camera shake, and about a 30 second processing period before the image appeared in the LCD. I had to time my pressing of the shutter-trigger to ensure traffic in both directions. There were *many* mistakes and miscues that night. (20050401_5380)

Well, the end of the year is almost upon us. As of this writing, about one more day until 2014. I think I have just one word that comes to mind to describe my experiences with the year leaving us, which is:
Change.
Looks bettah biggah... :-)
This may be the first "Street" photo I've done in colour; if it's not the only one it will be part of a very small few because street just NEEDS to be in monochrome.
However, this one NEEDS the colour to express the location, the situation and the lights zooming past. It was kind of a surreal scene, actually.
