[ProCamera + Snapseed]

A very long exposure of the moonrise over Canyon Lake. Exposing the camera sensor over an extended amount of time allowed me to capture the headlights, and taillights of the same car. A star trail composite was added in post processing.

Post Production shot for a private client the breath taking Aston Martin One 77. Shot taken with a Nikon D300 with a Nikkor 17-55 f/2.8 DX lense. Lighting from 1 Elinchrom Quadra up on a stand with an Elinchrom Softbox pointing down at the rear roof line. Also a Nikon SB800 with a Easy Soft Box aimed at rear wheel then another Nikon SB800 with Honl Gobo on the right and top of the flash all triggered using Elinchrom Skyports. During post a lot of work dropping the background, floor and additional reflection and lighting work just over 3 days work on this. This image is about 80% finished.

I love long exposures, everything to do with night time, the dark, sunrise and sunset.

I like to take pictures mainly at night , sometimes during the day and in dull and fading light and I will sometimes display the time and date the picture was taken too.

I tend to take pictures of Light trails, Motorway traffic, Street lights, Buildings, Landscapes, Bokeh, Night bokeh and Hexagonal Night Bokeh in and around the North East of England.

All of my pictures are 100% natural and untouched in every way without ever been Photo shopped or altered or messed about with in anyway whatsoever, No multi layered photography, No HDR's and No image manipulation of any kind, all of my pictures look just the way they did when I saw them at the time of taking and I'm VERY PROUD of that.

I don't do any photo processing at all, I don't even own any photo software.

All of my starbursts are all 100% natural without using any filters or anything else, as is all my bokeh, night bokeh and hexagonal night bokeh, its all natural, no funny gimmicks at all.

I don't do anything with my pictures apart from take them and then upload them , 99.99999% of my pictures don't even get cropped , they are all 100% natural and untouched and then uploaded.

A long exposure shot of my car driving down the Zig Zag Scenic Drive in Kalamunda, Western Australia. I set the shot up and then drove up the hill, waited for the shot to begin and then drove back down the hill, through the shot, continued to the bottom of the hill and back up via Gooseberry Hill Road. Then waited at the top and hoped no other cars drove back down. As it turned out, it only took 2 goes to get a shot with only my car present.

Hellgate Bridge over the Rogue River

I was hoping to catch a good sunset over Durham Cathedral but unfortunately it never happened. As I was driving home I went under this footbridge and got the idea that I might be able to use the road, street lights and car head lights as leading lines up to the beautiful Cathedral.

I think it works. I think!

Duration: 37 seconds

View of the flyovers / skyways / overpass's that are the access route to Brighton Marina. The marina is an entirely artificial harbour constructed beneath the chalk cliffs on the south coast of england. The roads emerge directly from tunnels in the cliff face. (The camera is located on top of the cliff.) In the distance is a multi-story car park and the Cineworld Cinema Complex. Illuminated blood orange red below is the ASDA Walmart car park.

In 2001 I saw a very frightened looking Japanese (and therefore fully earthquake trained) girl turning the corner from the entrance to the ASDA. When I got there, I found that the supermarket had been closed, because part of the cliff had collapsed onto it. The store quickly reopened, and the cliff has been reinforced.

The video is a "HDR" mashup. Two sequences were filmed, one with very reduced exposure so that the night time road lighting was captured without swamping the image. The reduced lighting image was then overlaid onto the normally exposed footage, with a travel matt being used to replace only the overlit light areas (including the moving lights of the vehicles). The travel matt was generated automatically - in this attempt the settings were badly affected by the varying levels of illumination - so there is some unintended flickering. (Adjacent in this photostream is a corrected version)

The ghostly effect was further enhanced by using three layers - from different time periods - with adjusted transparency and blending modes, so that all three layers can be seen at once.

Bus fans will be cheered by the sight of a No. 7 Brighton & Hove Bus company Double Decker bus right at the end of the clip.

Amazon Anne bought a new car, but it was too small!

I took this picture this morning and it turned out a lot better than I thought it was going to. I got really lucky that a car drove by during the picture, I think that is what makes this picture really good. The sunrise was beautiful this morning.

Guess who forgot to turn their ISO down...again!!! Yes, this is grainy as sin, but I did try to fix it as best as I could. Some of the lights are a bit too bright too. First time...so hit me with your helpful advice! Thanks!

i love the rain. I ran outside to take pictures in MY FLIPFLOPS! my toes froze and my hair was soaked once I got back inside. I went to go blow dry my hair and my hairdryer was BROKEN! I have no idea how that happened. It was fine this morning. >.<

now I'm sitting here with wet hair, and a red nose. I love it!

I love every element in this photo. From the reddish background of the sky, the starry effect on the lights and the ship passing beneath.

It was freaking cold but luckily I had about a hundred layers on. Lindsay said I looked like the hulk before I left.

This photo was inspired by dan_photoman's photos picture of this bridge!

My photo's Large (slideshow)

I often go out with one shot in mind and the rest is bonus.

This is one of those things I've passed by numerous times during the day and thought it would make a good evening shot.

A little tougher than I expected due to the traffic pattern and "uphill" shot from this point. That and a big electronic traffic sign right in the middle of the area I was standing in. This one works but I'll probably try again in the future...

Appears on Prince of Petworth, DCist and Greater Greater Washington.

Car Light Trails and Iowa Northern Lights - Catching the Northern Lights along a state highway means there's bound to be traveling cars, who missed out on quite the light show.

Brings me back to the old Star Trek movies. Unfortunally it's just shot at the side of the road on a bridge..........no, not the captain's bridge........... ;-)

So, I just hit 50,000 views, and I wanted to make something cool to thank all my Flickr people!

I know 50k isn't all that much, but it really means a lot to me. I have come SO far over the past year+ on Flickr, I would not be the photographer I am now at ALL without it. It's you guys and your amazing work that inspires me every day, gives me new ideas, and reminds me how much I love photography.

Thanks so much! <3

I spent so long out here, getting attacked by mosquitos! I'm sorry this is so short, I took like 200+ pictures and I thought I would have PLENTY, but a lot of them were junk and I ran out of space on my memory card so yeaaaah.
